A few days after our talk with Klaus and Elijah, we decided to just stay inside. How can we go explore and have fun when things took an unexpected turn? I mean, I knew it wasn't going to turn out perfectly. There was going to at least be a bump in the road, but now there are two bumps, big ones. Potholes, even.

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket and I pull it out, looking at the lit up screen. Damon. "Care, Damon's calling, do I answer it?" I ask, and turn my head to her. "If you want, but don't tell them where we are. The only one that knows is Bonnie. I told the rest that we went on a trip." She says, picking at her nails.

I sigh before pressing 'answer' I put the phone to my ear and say, "Hello?" and boom, Damon starts asking a bunch of questions. Where are you, why'd you leave, how long are you gonna be gone, is it because of me, etc.

"Damon, slow down. I'm not telling you where, or why, or how long. I don't know how long. But it's not because of you." I say and sit up on the bed. "Elena, you can't just leave without telling anyone." I roll my eyes.

"I don't have to tell anyone what I'm up to, Damon. If I want to leave I should be able to leave." I sigh, getting aggravated. "Give me the phone." Caroline interrupts. I hand it over and lay back on the bed.

"Damon, we are fine. Where we are is none of your business. We will be back soon. Stop bugging us." And she hangs up.

"Thanks." I mumble and cross my arms. She tosses me my phone back and I shove it in my pocket. "Come on, let's get out of here." She says as she sits up and slips on her shoes. I sit up and put mine on too.

"Where are we gonna go?" I ask as I stand up, slipping on my jacket. "I don't know, walk around the town, go to the bar?" she makes some suggestions of where and what we could do.

"Drinking sounds fun." I smirk and open the door, walking out.

We walk down the streets, trying to find that one bar we were at. "Oh there it is." I say and point to it. We walk over to it and walk in, taking our seats at the counter. I order a Bacardi and coke, Caroline orders a bourbon.

An hour later, we hear the door open, and a pair of footsteps walk in. "I'll have a bourbon, Cami, please and thank you." I hear a British accent. Oh no, it's him. "Klaus." Caroline says, confidence in her voice.

"Oh, hello Caroline." He smirks, trying to seem taken back. "Elena." He says, finally noticing me. I wave lightly, un-interested.

"What are you two girls sitting at a bar so early in the day?" he asks as he sits down next to Caroline. "We just wanted to drink for a bit, problem?" I ask, looking over at him.

He shakes his head, slightly raising his arms in surrender. "Have you finally decided, Caroline?" he asks her softly, smirking at bit. Before she can react, I jump in. "What's he talking about Care?" I ask confused.

"Well you see," Klaus butts in before she has a chance to say anything, again. "Back in Mystic Falls, I mentioned wanting to show her the world. What the world has to offer. Are you finally taking me up on that offer?" he asks with a slight, almost unnoticeable smirk on his face. It's more like a hopeful smile.

She turns her head away, grabs her drink, and sips on it.

"Oh come on Caroline, what's the matter?" he asks, tiling his head to the side a bit. "Come on, let's go for a walk, shall we?" He says, standing up and looking at her with curiosity.

"Go ahead, I'll be here." I say to her when she looks at me. "Fine." She says, giving in and standing up, walking out with him. I sigh and sip my drink, looking around briefly.
