Imagine:
Joe and Andy are in the car with Ruby in the backseat. The two of them turn on the radio when Uma Thurman starts playing. "Ugh, I hate this song," Joe says. Andy looks at him and they both laugh and continue to sing along.Imagine:
It's Andy' and Joe's 5th wedding anniversary. Andy reaches into his coat pocket and pulls out a homemade card. It's covered with glitter and pink hearts (Ruby helped him make it). Joe opens the card and his eyes begin to water. "You are the last good thing about this part of town."Imagine:
Ruby comes into Joe' and Andy's bedroom at midnight. She taps on Joe's shoulder and says between her sobs, "Daddy, I had a nightmare." He picks her up and places her in the middle of the bed. Ruby rolls over and wraps her arms around Andy, who strokes her hair softly until she falls asleep.Imagine:
Joe had a bad day. He goes to the studio to practice a few chords from the new album the band is working on in order to get his mind off of things. When he returns home, Andy is asleep on the couch. He smiles and silently covers him up with an old blanket and kisses his forehead.Imagine:
On their way home from the studio, Joe and Andy pick up Ruby from Grandma Hurley's house. It's late. Ruby is tired and cranky. Andy looks over from the driver's seat and asks Joe if they should take a small detour. They turn to the right and get ice cream at the nearest parlor. Ruby is making a mess in the backseat, but the boys just laugh and continue to drive home.Imagine:
It was a long day at the studio and Joe is tired. Andy decides to drive tonight. He turns the radio down and takes the long way home. Ten minutes from home, he looks out of the corner of his eye to see Joe sound asleep. He smiles proudly and drives slower in order to get home as late as possible.Imagine:
Pete and Patrick have just introduced Joe and Andy. They shake hands and look at each other. When their eyes meet, they pause. Each smiles and pulls away slowly, savoring every moment they have together. As they stare into each other's eyes, they blush.Imagine:
Andy's pushing himself through the crowd at a concert while he's looking for Joe. Teenagers are screaming in his ears and asking for pictures or autographs. Andy is worried. He makes his way on stage as Joe is entering. They meet center-stage and Andy hugs Joe in relief. Joe grabs him and kisses him. The audience is silent, then slowly begins to cheer.Imagine:
Joe wakes up and notices Andy is gone. He sniffs the air and smiles. "The sweet smell of vegan pancakes," he whispers. He puts his bathrobe on and walks into the kitchen. Andy sets a full plate in front of him and cackles.Imagine:
Joe and Andy are arguing about what TV show to watch. They're flipping through the channels and sighing when they don't find anything that satisfies both of them. Now Joe is looking down at his phone and smiling. Andy, worried, asks what's making him so happy. Joe says, "Watch what you want, dear. I'm watching the only thing that matters." Andy sees that Joe is looking at pictures of him.Imagine:
Andy and Joe are play fighting. Joe sits on Andy's stomach while Andy tries to push him off. They're giggling and trash talking. "You're gonna regret this, I swear!" "I'll show you!" "That's it! You're going down!"Imagine:
Andy is sick and can barely move. Joe is in the kitchen making him a nice hot bowl of soup -- vegan, of course. He takes it to Andy and turns on the TV. Joe kisses Andy's forehead and tucks him into bed, like a child.
