Bailee sat in her rocking chair on the balcony and thought. She held her purple dyed ukulele in her hand and she was strumming as the humid wind rushed through her wavy, brown hair.

She sat with a flower headband that she took everywhere she went. She believed it to have good luck. Everything had always happened perfectly in her favor.

Yet now she sat and thought about her life. She had always loved helping people. She was thinking about how great her life was. She thought about the people that were cold and miserable.

She found it hard to think of any place outside of this paradise. Yet for the first time, she tried to think of other places. She faxed out into the beautiful ocean. Plants were sprouting everywhere.

She had never questioned why they called it the 'garden' state. It looked as if it were pictures beautifully painted on a canvas. Like the artist had used every bright color on the pallet.

It was hard not to be a Christian, if you lived in Hawaii. There was no way that this was not a work of God. Bailee had just woken up, for she could not sleep.

It was 4:30 in the morning and the sun was not yet out. She figured that if she got up and relaxed a little, she would be able to go back to bed. However, now she realized that she would not be able to fall back asleep now.

She set down her ukulele on the coffee table and went inside. She got into the fridge and took out the fruity pebbles. Then she put the box in the island. She realized that she forgot the bowl, milk, and spoon.

So she got them. Her long pajamas dragged across the floor as she walked. She sat down at the bar and ate in silence. Her golden retriever, Barky, came in wagging his tail. "Jump" said Bailee, letting him. He did. He was a very smart dog. Barkly and Bailee were the best of friends. She finished her cereal with her dog on the floor, next to her. After that she sat on the couch and turned on the television. Spongebob. Barkly always watched spongebob with her in the mornings. Even though Bailee was 14, she still watched sponge bob every day with Barky.

Bailee knew that today would be. Good day.
