Josh had left Tylers apartment feeling... strange. This night he had with Tyler wasn't the same as the other casual nights they spent together.
Tyler was mumbling nonsense and wasn't listening to Josh. Almost as if it wasn't Tyler. No. It couldn't have been Tyler. Josh shook his head and stuck his hands in his sweater pockets, staring at the ground.
He blinked as a strange looking man passed by him, shoving him slightly to get past him. Josh stopped in his tracks and turned around, facing the man's back. He was wearing all black with his hood over his head. Josh stepped forward and took his hands out of his sweater pockets, holding his shoulder. The man had shoved him pretty hard. "Hey!" Josh said, stepping forward again. The man stopped and lifted his head but didn't turn around.
Josh stepped back and put his hands up. "I'm not looking for trouble, buddy. I was just saying, you shoved me pretty hard. I mean, aren't you gonna apologize?" The man turned around, the dim light from the moon making only his mouth visable.
Josh blinked and shuffled his feet awkwardly as he turned around and continued forward again. "Whatever" He whispered, rolling his eyes. The man turned around and continued his way as Josh went his own direction.Josh kicked a pebble by his foot as he looked up, seeing Tyler standing in front of his house. Josh scratched his head and picked up his pace, heading in Tylers direction.
Tyler was facing the other way from Josh, almost shaking. Josh lightly put his hand on Tylers shoulder and tried to spin him around, but Tyler wouldn't budge. "Tyler. Tyler? Are you okay? It's like" Josh paused, looking at his watch. "Midnight. Shouldn't you be ins-" Suddenly, Josh felt his grip be removed from Tylers shoulder as he dropped to the ground, curling into a ball.
Josh kneeled beside Tyler, keeping his distance, and tilted his head. "Tyler???" Tylers face was covered with his hands and he was... crying? Josh could hear the faint sobs coming from Tyler as he scooted closer to him. He put his hand on Tyler, feeling something on his hand. He pulled it back and examined it. Red.
"B-blood? Tyler what the hell happened?" Josh stared at his hand and began shaking. Did Tyler... kill someone? He fell backwards, hand still in front of his face. The street light flickered above them and turned on, making Josh finally being able to see Tyler properly.
Josh wiped his hand on his jeans and sat up, focusing his attention back on Tyler, who was covered in blood. His clothes were torn and he was shaking. A lot. His hair was a mess and there was blood covering his hands. Josh took Tylers hands and moved them away from his face, seeing Tylers face. His nose was bleeding and he had a black eye and tears were streaming down his face.
