Chapter 30

It's day 5 of our road trip. We are moving fast. We are halfway through Missouri. We decided to wake up at 3 am so we can get an early start and it really worked. We stopped off at Starbucks and Denny's. I didn't care much for my appearance so I just wore a pair of joggers and a New York sweatshirt. (Jessica on left. Finley on right.)

We headed back to Route 66 after our little pit stop. We ended up at the border line of Missouri and Kansas by 10:00 pm. We were really tired. We stopped off at a hotel and went to bed. I didn't even text Brook back. We are just friends now. I do still like him but he's in England and I'm in Kansas. It's just too hard for a long distance relationship.

*Tomorrow Morning*

I woke up at 7 am. I checked my phone and I had 5 worry texts from Brooklyn.

Brooksy: Hey Jess.

Brooksy: Jess are you okay?

Brooksy: Jess answer me!

Brooksy: I'll call the cops is you won't answer me

Brooksy: Wait Jess are driving? Are you okay?

Me: Brook calm down I'm fine! I was driving since 3 am. And didn't get to the hotel until 10:15. I'm sorry I didn't text you. Please don't call the cops.

Brooksy: OH MY GOODNESS!!!! YOURE OKAY!!!! I WAS SO WORRIED!!!!

Me: Oh my goodness Brook. Did you call the cops?

Brooksy: Oh my goodness. No I didn't. Mum wouldn't let me.

Brooksy: I guess 'Oh my goodness' is our okay.

Me: Yes it is Brookie pie. I have to go. We're getting back on the road.

We all got in our cars and went back onto Route 66. We were driving for 8 hours. It was a long 8 hours. We made it passed Kansas and now we are in Oklahoma. We made a few stops. Saw a few attractions. We finally made it to Oklahoma City and got a hotel. I texted Brooklyn when I got to the hotel room.

Me: Hey Beckham.

B-Diggity: Hey Carson.

Me: We made it to Oklahoma.

B-Diggity: Good. Have you see Cadillac Ranch?

Me: No not yet. That's in Texas.

B-Diggity: Whatever.

Me: Whatever. Hey Beckham I'm tired. I'll text you when I wake up. Luv u!

B-Diggity: Okay. Night Jess! Luv u 2!!

Me: Night Brook.

I took a shower and fell asleep. I was tired. I almost fell asleep in the shower. That's how sleepy I am. Good night!!!
