XXXVII: Unforseen Circumstances

"Dammit, again?" Shard asked. Once again, Shard and Sky were aboard the airship that took them to the desert. However, they were able to move around more. So the two ran through the halls and corridors of the airship until they came to the captain's room.

"Ready?" Sky said. Before Shard answered, he kicked the door open and looked at the captain. A woman with hazel wings, hazel hair, pink eyes, and a black skirt. She also wore a smirk on her face.

On her left was a girl with a pure white wing on her left side, with hazel hair as well. She had on baggy jeans and a black hoodie. On the woman's right was a girl with black hair and a cold stare. She looked like a normal girl, but Shard and Sky knew that she was powerful.

Shard knew that the girl on the left was Leah. The girl on the right was Pierce. He wasn't so sure about the woman, though. All three of them smiled, leaving Shard and Sky dumbfounded.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?!?" Sky screamed at the three.

"We got them!" Pierce said to Leah.

"I know, right? Look at their faces!" Leah replied.

"Yes, yes, excellent job you two." The woman said. Shard and Sky looked at each other, then back at the three.

"What's going on?" Sky repeated.

"We tricked you!" Leah said. "We knew that you two like each other, but were afraid to say so. So we got you two alone! Hehe.."

"Yeah. We couldn't watch, but I bet it was romantic." Pierce said. "You guys probably kissed a few times, but Shard, I swear if you took my little sister's innocence--"

"You did WHAT?!?" Shard yelled. "And no we didn't kiss! Or anything of the sort!"

"Wait, you didn't..." Leah and Pierce said. "YOU TWO IDIOTS DIDN'T KISS?!?!?!"

"NO, WE DIDN'T!" Sky said, her face red as a berry. She tackled Pierce to the ground and punched her multiple times while Pierce laughed.

Leah looked at Shard. "So what did happen?" She said. Shard explained what happened to them on their "date" though the hellish desert. By the end of the story, both Leah and Pierce were starry-eyed in amazement while the woman just smiled.

"That sounds fun!" Leah said.

"Interesting." The woman said. Shard looked at her and frowned. She looked at his eyes and laughed. "I believe we haven't met. Leah?"

"Oh! Right! He wasn't there when we first met you. Shard, this is Arius. Arius, Shard."

"So this was all your idea?" Shard said.

"Yes," Arius said. "Yes it was." Shard grunted and folded his arms.

"Shard, don't be upset." Leah said. "We just wanted you and--"

"--DON'T EVER DO SHIT LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!!" Sky yelled at Pierce while still punching her.

"This is starting to hurt..." Pierce mumbled.

"......wanted you and Sky to be happy." Shard walked away from her and to the door. He walked outside and looked at the now night sky, covering the ground below in purple fluffy clouds. Shard was soon joined by his sister.

"Shard..." Leah said.

"I know what you're going to say. I accept your apology, but just...." Leah looked at Shard's lips as a small smile formed. "...don't do it again."

"Heh. Oh, I should also mention that....well...Arius...is..."

"Oh don't even. Don't say it.."

"Our aunt..." Leah finished.

"Son of a bitch!!!!" Shard said.

"Yep. Well, have fun with that info!" And with that, Leah went back inside the airship, leaving Shard just as confused as the first time he got on this airship.

"Everyone loves to piss me off..." He mumbled.
