Chapter 3: Becoming Average: Shannon didn't want to be my friend. But thats all right. I have new friends. Even though I'm average now I am still in all the honors classes so I see Shannon during each and every class. But at lunch we sit at different tables. I sit at table Average G. That means average girls. There's also average boys. Shannon sits at the geeky girls or GG table. I wanted to sit with her but it would ruin my reputation. The sport girl. I do a lot of sports. Basketball, soccer, softball, gymnastics, archery, bowling. You name it, I'll do it. I didn't want to let them down. I always did sports but now people actually ask for help with them. But every night I text Shannon but she doesn't reply. But I don't understand why. I keep asking her but she doesn't listen. I just don't know.

Today when I went home After soccer I stopped at Shannon's house. I rang the doorbell and her mom answered. "Hi Mrs. Anderson is Shannon home. Yes she's in her room. Come on in Carly". I walked upstairs And walked into Shannon's room." What do you want" she said. "Please let's be friends." "Sorry we are not going to be friends ever again." "Okay well I just came to see if you change your mind". "Well I didn't so leave my room". I ran out of her room trying to hide the tears. "Honey is everything okay" Her mom asked. "I just don't want talk about it". The time I was down the block I was in tears. I wanted to make up but she would listen. Why Did this happen to me.
