Mario and the gang were close to the obstacles ahead, but they stopped just as they entered the scene. Townspeople had been getting beaten up by some of Mamusha's purple minions made out of galactic matter.

"Oh well, we tried." Luigi told the crew as he began to walk off. But his brother's hand gripped his shirt again.

"We need to focus, and be brave. Let's try communicating with them, see if they're friendly inside."

"If they aren't, the pain belongs to you." Umucha told him harshly.

"I know, I know. Try to keep a nice, calm atmosphere for the creature to make him notice that we're friendly." Mario smiled.

"Alright, alright. After all, it's your funeral." Toadsten remarked.

"Shut up!" And then he stormed his way over to the creature, who looked him dead in the eyes. He didn't move, he just stared down at the plumber.

"Hello-a, strange creature! Let-a me introduce-a myself, my name is Mario--"

And then the purple figure ran away, scared.

"...was it something you said?!" Luigi called.

"Guess so. Maybe they're afraid of communication!" Mario beamed.

"Everyone! This is an important announcement!" Wait, where did he get that megaphone? "I want you all to talk to the purple figures, they're afraid of people and communication!"

The purple figures suddenly stopped, then stared at Mario. Even if they didn't have a face, it was obvious that they were mad at Mario for giving their secret away.

"I told you, it's your funeral." Toadsten told him, shrugging his shoulders.

"I got a good plan." Luigi said.

"What?"

"RUN!!"

They all nodded and dashed out, a crowd of the mysterious figures chasing after them.

"Who thought announcing it would be a good idea?!" Umucha yelled angrily as she ran with the group.

"I don't know, I guessed they didn't have ears!" Mario cried.

"They could hear you as you tried to be nice to them!" Yasie exclaimed.

"Okay, okay!" Mario yelled.

The crowd of purple minions were gaining on them, and they were slowing down, making it easier for them.

"Oh no..."

Then Mario had the guts to speed up, grabbing the group and carrying the team on with him. They had finally escaped the crowd, Mario panting like crazy.

"W-wow... That was pretty brave of you." Toadsten told him. But he was too exhausted to reply.

"T-thanks..."

"That was. I wouldn't have the guts to do that." Yasie told him, scooting closer to him.

"You don't really have to say that. I've done that millions of times."

"Well, I think you're pretty brave and handsome, Mario..." Yasie smiled, going closer to his face. This was extremely awkward.

"U-uh, could you back away, please?" Mario asked kindly.

Yasie nodded and backed away quickly, her whole face red.

Then an awkward silence. It lasted for about a couple minutes.

"Why do we not focus on the task at hand? We don't have much time." Rodrica told them.

"You're right." Toadsten told her.

Then they all stood up with a groan as they got on their feet, exhausted from running from them.

It was high noon, and they were parched.

"Does anyone have a water bottle?" Rodrica asked them.

"I have one." Umucha told them, pulling out a small water bottle with a little water in it.

"Thanks." They all divided the water equally and drank.

They then returned on their adventure, more hydrated and not likely to collapse.

The next thing they know, they came across a humble home. They didn't know who's home it was, but they knocked on the door, just to be polite.

"Hello?" Luigi asked, calling inside. No one answered. "Oh well, we tried."

"It's open, so I'm assuming they want us to come in." Toadsten told them, opening the door and leading them in.

"It's like we can just bail the mission, but you don't have the guts to..." Luigi mumbled, quietly so no one no of hear him.

They all walked in, not aware of what would await them...
