Do I tell him? Do I not? I sat cross-legged on the kitchen counter, hovering my thumb over the call button beside Jordan’s name. Jenna and Vic had left a while back - they said they wanted to go and see Vic’s parents. It was an awkward two hours they spent with me. I had to pretend for Jenna that I was okay with Vic being here. It’s not like I hated him, I just didn’t appreciate what he did to Jordan, and when somebody hurts Jordan, they hurt me too. I wanted him to have the decency to apologise to Jordan and maybe try once again with their friendship, but I couldn’t be certain that that was going to happen.

“Hello? Tay?” I could hear Jordan’s voice but I was unsure as to why. I looked down at my phone and noticed I had accidentally tapped the call button. I held the phone up to my ear - I had to tell him now, didn’t I?

“Oh, hey Jordan.”

“Why do you sound unsure as to why I’m on the phone? Tayls, you rang me.” He laughed slightly.

“No, sorry, lost in thought.” I laughed reassuringly.

“Oh God, this doesn’t happen often. What’s on your mind?”

“Nothing.” I mumbled, clearly lying.

“You say I’m a bad liar? You’re not so good yourself.” I smiled slightly even though he couldn’t see me.

“Vic’s back in San Diego.” I said quickly.

“Oh.”

“I don’t know about the others. He’s dating my friend Jenna from back when I lived with my mom. They came to visit me today, and from the sounds of it, they’re staying for a while. They have a while to have a break after Warped, so, yeah. I don’t know if the rest of the guys will come down, but, I know Vic is.” I rushed it all out really quickly. I was unsure why, but I had a slight fear of telling Jordan this.

“Um, okay then. Well, as long as they don’t come bothering me.” He laughed slightly. “Anyway, I have to go because I’m in the middle of Starbucks and Hannah just walked in. We’re gonna’ try and sort it out.”

“Alright then, bye.”

“Bye.” He hung up and I dropped my phone on the counter beside me. At least he now knew. But there was a part of me that still felt almost scared? Sad? I don’t know. I thought it was because of what Jordan would say or do, but I guessed that it wasn’t. I couldn’t make sense of this feeling, but I knew it wasn’t a good feeling.

“Oi, Earth to Taylor.” I was snapped out of my thoughts by a hand waving in front of my face. I must have zoned out. I’d been staring up at the clock on the back wall, watching as the seconds hand ticked by. My thoughts wandered off as I began to remember the encounter with Jenna and Vic, which then led onto me thinking about everything else. I obviously hadn’t noticed that I’d been in my own little world until some guy stood in front of me.  I raised my eyebrows slightly and moved my head back in fear of his hand hitting me in the face. “Can I buy these now or are you gonna’ freak me out some more?” I looked at the guy, taking a second to notice it was Alex.

“Oh, sorry.” I laughed quietly. “I was in my own little world.”

“You’re telling me.” He said, placing a few CDs onto the counter. “So, long time no see, eh?”

“Yup.” I popped the ‘P’ as I scanned the barcodes on his items. “That’s exactly what Vic said.” I said more to myself, but I guess Alex heard as well.

“Vic? As in Vic Fuentes?”

“Yeah.” I placed his items in a bag for him. “$25 please.”
