Welcome to the Secrets of Walt Disney World.
Walt Disney World is a grand stage upon which a story of magic, fantasy and enchantment plays out everyday. Cast Members perform, attractions entertain, parades delight and fireworks bedazzle as Guests watch with wide-eyed amazement. But unknown to many, separate and sometimes whimsical stories play out right alongside the main act, and these stories make up the secrets of Walt Disney World.
Disney Imagineers have filled the parks with fun and entertaining little secrets, most of which are hidden, often in plain sight for all to see, but very few to notice. A dramatic painting depicts heroic Vikings sailing across a raging sea...while one sports Mickey Mouse ears! A special target on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin suddenly increases your score by 100,000 points. Finding a whitewash brush on Tom Sawyer Island can be rewarded with a FASTPASS to Splash Mountain. And that brown section of pavement running down the middle of Liberty Square?...well, perhaps you're better off not knowing what it represents.
And of course there's always Hidden Mickeys, little images or symbols of Mickey Mouse hidden in paintings, architecture, scrollwork, rockwork, handy work, even fireworks all throughout the parks.
Some secrets are fun, such as discovering the countless Hidden Mickeys in the entrance mural at Disney's Animal Kingdom's Conservation Station, others are whimsical, such as the way Madame Leota's tombstone scares unsuspecting Guests at The Haunted Mansion, while others add a touch of fun to your visit, such as discovering how to get an exclusive ride in the wheel house of the Liberty Square Riverboat.
The "Walt Disney World Secrets" Notescast reveals 250 fun and whimsical secrets and tips, along with over 200 fun facts, all designed to make your visit that much more exciting and magical. We hope you enjoy it!
