Sometimes you feel like you can't do it anymore.
Like the world always seems to be crashing down on you when you're at your weakest.
But hey, if you're reading this, I guess that means you survived it.
Always remember that whether it is a good day or a bad day, a day is only ever 24 hours. By you being here, you just proved not only to me, but hopefully to yourself that you can survive a lot more than you ever thought you could. You've already made it through the worst 24 hours of your life (so far). Sure, maybe by the time you had hit that 24 hour mark you had a couple of scratches here and there. Maybe your body was more bruised than you'd ever imagined it would be. Maybe those 24 hours left you with a couple of new scars. But at the end of the day, when your eyes glide over ever inch of skin and you begin to notice all those new little additions to your body, I know how you'll feel. I know you'll see yourself as a failure, I know the word disappointment will find its way into your mind and you'll be overwhelmed with the fear of that word never going away and lastly, I know you'll want to cry. The thing is, this is not something you cry over and I don't want to see you shed even a single tear. Do you understand? Your body is a canvas and I can't think of one person that likes to stare at a blank canvas. If anything, at the end of the day, when everything hits you all at once and you're no longer sure what to feel. I want you to look at yourself in the mirror and smile. After the hardest 24 hours you've ever faced, you're still standing. It doesn't matter that you can barely breathe; what matters is that you're breathing. Every scratch, every bruise and every scar does not represent weakness or failure. It represents your strength and your success. You did it! We all know the saying "what doesn't KILL you makes you STRONGER" and you're living proof of that and I'm so proud of you. So admire every so-called fault you come across on your own body, think of each one as a different colour of paint; splattered on the canvas. The more paint, the less blank space. Art is used to tell stories, to make you feel something. One day, your canvas will tell a story. Your story. Don't you want to be around to hear it?
