My name is Riley Dunham and today I'm supposed to meet my soulmate.

I'm 16 years old  and my parents died when I was 5, I now live with my aunt who doesn't really care about my feelings. I was now at school and 5 classes in to the long strenuous school day. My clock, implanted in my wrist since birth, read 5 min and 20 sec. I couldn't believe I was going to meet my soul mate in the cafeteria, of all places. The bell rung interrupting my thoughts and making my heart pound in my chest, I was surprised nobody else could hear it. I walked in looking around nervously and then looking down at my clock which read 3 min 10 sec. I took deep breaths trying to calm myself before I got into the lunch line. Unforseen by me  the popular kids Elisa Pancakes, Amelia Chamberlaine, Catherine Mellings and Leanna Erikason who loved to pick on me  decided that today it would be funny to make a fool out of me at lunch. As I walked to my table, my lunch tray in my cold, sweaty palms, Elisa stuck out her high heeled foot and tripped me and my black converse. I fell fast, smashing my face into my tray and covering my rusty red hair in spaghetti sauce. Everyone around laughed at me as I began to get up pulling spaghetti from my thick red hair and trying to wipe it off my  grey B.V.B. shirt. Tears filled my stormy gray eyes as I held back my tears and began to start walking out until somebody yelled "Food Fight!!!!" and lunch began to fly around me. I  quickly ducked under a table as everyone around me began throwing food, I laughed as the popular kids shrieked when they were hit . The lunch monitor, Mr. Grace soon took notice and tried to calm everyone down pulling people out into the hall he thought were involved, including me. Mr. Grace  had pulled me and 4 other kids out into the hall an disgruntled look upon his face. I looked around at the other 4 kids, Bradley Strenson, Alexander Merrc, Samantha Williams, and a kid I didn't know. "I want to know who started this food fight and if no one wants to confess all 5 of you will be having detention." Mr. Grace yelled startling all of us. I looked down at my watch which now read 30 sec, seeing this started my heart all over again. After a bit of silence the kid at the end whose name I didn't know spoke up "It was me, sorry Mr. Grace but I couldn't let Elisa and her friends make front of Riley." he said finally looking over at me. Light blue eyes met my stormy gray ones and both of our watches went off at the same time. He ran a hand through his dark brown hair and smiled at me. "Ahh, Christopher Barnes, the trouble maker. You're going straight to the principals office! The rest of you kids get to class lunch is over" Mr. Grace said leading Chris towards the front of the school as the bell rung. He smiled at me as he passed by and I smiled back the spaghetti sauce on my face hiding my blush. I quickly rushed to the bathroom to clean up and smiled happy to no longer be alone.
