Stormie's POV
"Okay, dinner for 9 tonight. What to make, what to make," I mumbled to myself. I paged through my new cook book looking for recipes suited for a large amount of people.
Hmm, maybe I'll just fry up some chicken fingers and french fries. Every parent deserves an easy night of cooking. I got the chicken out of the freezer to thaw, while I made the breading.
The doorbell rang, startling me, as I started cracking eggs, resulting in yolk all over the floor. "Oh dear, oh dear," I sighed to myself.
"Who's at the door?" Ross asked, walking down the steps.
"I'm not sure, would you please see who it is? I'm kind of all eggy right now," I asked mopping up some of the mess.
I heard the door open, which meant he listened to me. These kids half the time hear what I say, just don't feel like doing what I say.
"Um, mom," Ross said, "This lady would like to speak with you." He moved the door back, revealing the lady standing behind it.
Louise Gretchin, this can't be good.

Ross' POV
The look on mom's face didn't seem to good. Wait a minute, isn't that the lady that signed our paper work for Ash's adoption? What if she came in here to tell us we're not a fit family for Ash?
"Hello, I am Louise Gretchin from So CA Foster Family Agency," The lady said, straightening her blazer.
"Hello Miss, but may I ask what brings you to our home?" Mom said, drying off her hands with a dish towel.
"I would like to speak about this topic in private with you and your husband," She said, giving me a look of disgust.
Well then. I would give her one back, but I knew mom wouldn't be very happy.
This lady seemed like whatever she was about to talk about wasn't very pleasant.
"Honey, go get your dad and tell him it's about 'the' topic," She said with a look of worry in her eyes.
Apparently she knows what this 'Louise' character came here about, or else she wouldn't be looking so grim.
"Dad?" I asked, opening the basement door.
"Yea? What do you need?" He asked walking into my sight.
"Some Louise chic is at the door, and mom said it's about 'the' topic, what 'the' topic is I don't know," I said using finger quotes around 'the'.
Apparently he knows what it meant, because he rushed upstairs, with a look of panic on his face.
I looked over and saw Rocky watching a movie while sitting on the recliner.
"Eavesdrop?" He asked.
"Eavesdrop."
We tiptoed upstairs, careful not to make any noise. We went to the living room door, and saw Riker and Ryland already there.
We pressed our ears against the door, hoping to hear the conversation.
"Yes, we've known the time would come eventually," I heard a voice say, and automatically recognized it as my dad's.
What does she mean by 'the time'?
"If you knew this was illegal, why would you let this problem continue?" Lousie asked with a stern tone.
"We just knew how much they loved each other, and we wanted their relationship to last as long as we were able to let it! Just please don't take Ash away from us! She's happy here, and all the kids will be crushed without her here!" Mom said, sounding a little emotional.
