I wrinkled my nose and the stop light. It was a little awkward, but he made me laugh.

"So... you're 16?" He asked.

"Yeah.."

"I am too.."

"Great." I said.

"Where are we going?"

"I don't know... Just the mall I guess." I replied.

"Oh cool! There's an outdoor mall a few miles from here... If you wanna..."

"Sure why not," I cut him off. I checked the mirror just as the light turned green and accelerated. I listened to Harry talking all the way to the mall. I was happy when I finally pulled into the parking lot.

"Alright," I said.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I don't really know many American stores... Anything that has cute clothes, I guess."

We walked towards the mall, a big hallway almost with huge palm trees reaching higher than the buildings that loomed over us on both sides. Small carts of cell phone cases and jewelry lined the center between the palm trees. On both sides, a lip hung over the hall a few feet, the balcony walks of the second floor. I stood in amazement of the architecture of the place. Harry nudged me, and I followed his gaze to the first big store. Nordstrom.

Harry followed as I walked slowly towards the entrance. The quiet, peaceful store I was expecting was nothing like what I was used to. I was used to small, cute boutiques, but this was a full blown shopping experience! Escalators rose up to the second and third floors. Colours exploded at me like fireworks. Everywhere I looked, a different style of clothes lay. Sports in one corner, prom dresses in another. I took a long look, my mouth hanging open.

"Uh, Maddie." Harry interupted. "Are we gonna.. uh, do some shopping or what?"

I said nothing, and without taking my eyes off one specific section... I nodded and began walking towards it. Ibegan sifting through the vibrant colourful pieces, every so often gasping and shoving one over my arm, eying the dressing rooms in the process. I stopped in my tracks when I heard Harry gasp.

"What is it?" I asked him. He pointed to the pricetag on one skirt I was holding. "That's seventy dollars for a skirt!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah, well dollars and pounds are different."

"Not by much. I'm not stupid you know." He insisted.

"Alright... It's okay, I have money." I went back to my sifting. About ten minutes later I headed to the dressing rooms, Harry right behind me, carrying an armload of clothes. I ducked inside one and set down the ton of clothes.

My favourite part. The dressing room was big and airy, with a good ammount of space to model my dress. A full length mirror covered most of one wall. I tried on the first outfit I had pieced together. A high-waisted black skirt with a zipper in the front. A loose-fitting blouse with a collar. and printed leggings. I finished it off by adding a pair of pumps, looking in the mirror and twirling, before going out to model for Harry.

I watched his face  with interest as his eyes lit up upon seeing me. He said nothing at first, just grinned and nodded. "It looks great on you..." he said slowly, as if choosing his words. "I like it."

This occurred several more times before we switched stores. I ended up getting two pairs of shoes, one pair of shorts, two blouses, two skirts, a few necklaces and other jewelry, tights, a scarf, and a hat.

Next, we went to Anthropologie. There, again, i tried on many outfits and modeled them for Harry. We left the store with two dresses, some belts, another hat, a pair of shorts, and a shirt.

Next: Ted Baker, were I bought a purse and a bracelet.

We went into Hot Topic, but we left almost immediately when the cashier tried flirting with me. His tattoos creeped me out.

At Abercrombie and Fitch, I bought a dress, one of the only things not ruined by their logo. I'm not a walking billboard, no thank you.

Urban Outfitters! One of my favourites. There, I bought two dresses, three skirts, three pairs of shorts, six tops, a pair of boots, a pair of heels, and a pair of sandals. I also bought some jewelry, a few sets of earings, some necklaces, rings. Harry dragged me out before I got sidetracked on more...

Next, we headed to Macy's, Delia's, Burberry, and Forever 21. We spent almost two hours in Forever 21. My favourite store, ever. I had never been to an actual store before, only shopped online.

We almost had too many bags to carry, even after we made a stop at the car to unload. we decided that we'd head back, maybe get some coffee.

We headed over to Starbucks. I ordered a Hazelnut Chappuchino and he got an iced late. We sat in the booth in the back and just talked.. I guess.

"So, uh. You like... Liam?" He asked after a long pause in the conversation.

I blushed and smiled a little. "I don't know... He's really sweet..."

"I see..." All he said.

"What? You don't like me, do you?" I joked. I honestly wasn't joking, I just made it seem like it.. I knew he liked me.

He laughed awkwardly loud. "Nah."

That actually kept the conversation alive, until my coffee was gone... We stood up to leave, but someone rushed over. "You're the guy from One Direction!"

Harry nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I am!!"

"Can I have your autograph?" She was a young girl, about thirteen or fourteen... Her hair was thrown back in a ponytail and she looked like she had just come from the beach. Harry gladly signed her arm, and we left after that.

The whole car ride, Harry went on and on about how happy he was that someone recognised him. When we arrived back at Simon's, the TV crew had just arrived. Just in time for the show!

Harry started panicing. "What if we don't make it through? I'm gonna die."

I finally convinced him to be strong and sent him inside. I took all my bags upstairs in three trips, and began sorting...

This is gonna be a long day.
