~Almost a month later~
We have been in Australia for over a month now and let me tell you, it is completely different from what I thought it was going to be. Anyways I will save you the details about how it took hours to get here by plane and even longer for our furniture to get here. I'm not going to go into too much detail about things you probably don't care about like the weather here or any of that. But I'm going to tell you a few things about me in hopes you can learn a bit more about me and my past so it can make our future better together, I used to be the kid with the most wild and outrageous imagination. I was the kid that had brilliant ideas but everyone thought of them as crap. I didn't have many friends but that was my own doing, I shut everyone out and I still do, I didn't want anyone to get too close to me because I knew even as a little seven year old playing hide and go seek that I would only get hurt in the end. As for back home, I really miss Kayla and Eric and I hope they're really hitting it off together, but everything else I don't really miss at all, in fact I could care less about everything and everyone else. Anyways I decided to talk today because a lot is happening today, for one we finally got settled into our new house which is perched in a small friendly neighborhood filled with beautiful houses. Today is also the day that my mother is making me meet our neighbors to introduce myself because she says that I need to be more social. So that is what I am currently getting ready for, I scrolled through the my closet about ten or so times to see what exactly I could dress in to look somewhat decent and make a somewhat good impression. I decided to wear my flowery skater skirt with a plain black top that I proceeded to tuck into the skirt, then I matched it up with a gold arrow necklace, and nude colored ankle boots. I straightened my hair and flicked on little to no makeup but just enough for me to not look completely dead.
I'm not much of a people person but maybe today will be the day all of that changes! Maybe this is a good thing, I remind myself as I take one last look in the mirror. As I made my way toward the wooden stairs, a little Brishen came hurtling toward me while making a strong effort to sound like a dinosaur.
"Rawr! Rawr! Rawr!"
I swung around and picked Brishen up and said,"No nice little dinosaur, you can't eat me!"
Brishen scrunched her face together trying to look more terrifying, which didn't really work because she's just so darn cute. But being the aunt I am, I wanted to play along, so I gently placed her back onto the ground steadying her.
Then I began to flail my arms around wildly, screaming,"The dinosaur is going to eat me! Everybody run!!"
I ran downstairs as fast as my little legs could go and leaped behind the couch like how you see those spies do it in those action movies except mine wasn't as graceful and I might be getting a bruise on my hip for it later, but oh well, Brishen is having fun and that's all that matters. All of a sudden I hear little feet plopping around after me, so I duck low behind the couch ready for Dino Brishen to come after me. As she walks around the living room in search for me, she starts making these huffing noises, as if to mimic a dinosaur searching for my scent.
A few seconds later she comes flying from behind the couch and yells,"RAWR!!!!"
I tried my best to escape the wailing monster as its jaws were closing in around me, but I was too slow. Brishen placed her hands around my neck and makes a motion as to a dinosaur biting my head off so what do I do? I dramatically fall to the floor and make a big scene out of it by gasping for air and squinting at the lights above, repeatedly saying 'I knew this day would come little dinosaur, but why so soon?' Then I flailed a little bit longer before gasping for one last breath and going "Bleh." Right before I faked my death. Brishen just sat there unmoving for a few seconds then she scooted over closer to me as if examining me to see if I was messing around with her. Brishen is a very smart girl, who sees through my attempt easily and starts running around the living room chanting her victory.
