"Can we lay here forever?" my skin was glowing.
"I wish," Landen sighed. As I sat up, I grunted. My hair was in a wild entanglement of brown locks and my bra was crooked, since it had only one of the three loops hooked with another.
"Tonight is going to be so lame! I don't want to spend it without you." I picked up my black wide-framed glasses and set them on my face.
"Is it still considered a night without you if all I'm going to be thinking about is you? I mean, I will literally feel my heart beat eight times faster, just thinking of the way you're going to look tomorrow." His hand stroked the top of my neck to my shoulder and I got goosebumps.
My cheeks heat up, "babe, you are so damn sweet. And that's right, we have that gala tomorrow don't we? You are going to look so fine in a tux." My stomach was in knots thinking of how hot he would look.
"Yep." Soon, he was hovering above me on the bed. His lips were millimeters away from mine when he whispered, "they will all know that you are mine, believe me." My lips stretched forward, and he stood up off of the bed.
"You're such a tease!" I threw my pillow at him and he burst out laughing. "What is so funny, ass hat?"
"You thought," he tries to talk between laughs, "a pillow," he tried to breath for a second while he bwas bent over with his hands resting on his knees, "would intimidate me?" He started laughing again.
"Shut up!" I laughed with him. He came back to my side of the bed and grabbed my messy hair to kiss me in a rough and abrupt motion, but I liked it that way. He bit my lip and then pulled away just to stare at my lips and drive me even more wild then I already was. I watched him walk to the bathroom, and I watched him slowly shut the door. No man had ever driven me as crazy as the Landen Spencer. I stood up and looked at the clock, which read, '7:27 am'. That meant I had a good ten minutes to get ready because I still needed to get breakfast and actually travel to work. At eight am, I needed to be standing behind the counter at Nelson's Nooks and Crannies. It was the best library in town, everyone who liked to read knew that. Even some people who didn't like to read knew that.
I sprayed almost the whole bottle of de-tangler in my hair before finally being able to brush through it smoothly. I swept my hair into an elegant fishtail braid and threw on my black, ripped skinny jeans and my green NNC shirt. The logo was a cartoon book and cup of coffee sitting underneath a latter. The letters 'NNC' were printed boldly down three of the bars. Once I got dressed, it was 7:33 am, and I walked quickly towards the kitchen. I poured myself of Purple Pounds and a caffeinated cappuccino. It took me about fifteen minutes to finish my meal while scrolling through tumblr, --which may or may-not have added an extra five minutes to my usual breakfast time. I saw that the time was 7:48 am and I had to go!
I ran to my room and kissed a half-naked Landen on the cheek, "Bye babe!"
"Bye Macen." He gripped my wrist tightly and yanked me back to kiss me on the lips. I blushed. "I love you."
"Landen you know how I feel about those words. I will never say them. I don't have time to explain this to you again. Bye baby." I rushed out.
Every time I'm dating a guy, they expect me to say "I love you", but I don't see the big deal. They are just words. Just like these are just words.
I walked about five blocks and I got there at 7:59 am. Exactly one minute to spare. I was relieved that I actually made it. I'm usually a solid twenty minutes early, but Landen and I had slept together for the first time last night, and I was too distracted by him to even consider getting up at my normal time this morning. I saw Parker dusting books in row 'Au-Bb' and he spotted me coming in.
