I decided to walk around the garden, and examine all of the beautiful flowers. There were Rose to Tulips to Lily's to Violets. All blossoming with color.
As I was gazing at the Violets, I noticed a slight movement in the corner of my eye. I turned to the area that I saw the movement, but saw nothing there.
"Hello?"
I turn around, hearing the cracking of sticks breaking.
"Who's there?"
I ask yet another question, to whoever was in the garden with me. As I ask, I hear another sound... but it was more like a scream. I race out of the garden in the direction the scream came from. Not knowing where I was heading, I soon lost myself in the deep, dark woods.
I turn around multiple times, desperately looking for the way I had came from. The screaming had stopped and I was left alone with the sounds of the wind passing through the trees, making them whisper in the night.
Frantically looking for a way out, I heard footsteps close behind me. Shooken by the steps behind me, I race off in a different direction as I had heard the screams.
I heard the footsteps following me as I ran deeper into the woods, not knowing where to go or how to get out.
As the footsteps fall closer to me, I tried to quicken my pace, but without knowing, I lose my footing and trip over a log, falling on my back. My heart starts to race as I hear the footsteps getting closer.
Although the thing following me had been fast, I had been faster. But my shoelace was caught on the branch that I had fallen over.
"Oh great, just my luck."
I try my best to free my shoelace, but it was no use. It wasn't going to budge. At last, I got it unhooked and pushed myself up. Thankfully, the beast (as I'm going to call it) was farther behind than I had expected.
The faster I ran, the faster IT ran. What the heck is following me! As I dodged through many trees, I never seemed to find a clearing of land or at least a building in the distance. All I saw was trees, trees, and more trees. Then I saw it, a passageway. I didn't know why it was there or where it was going but I followed it.
After a while, I stopped hearing the footsteps behind me and decided to take a break. I leaned up against the tree and looked down the path that I had been following and through a slight crook in the trees, I could see a house or a cabin up ahead. Being curious and all and the fact that I just ran so far already down this path, I may as well see where it lead too. Slowly, I made my way to the cabin.
As I passed through the last trees, I finally got a good look at what I was walking to. A small, yellow cabin. Nothing too great but it was better than nothing. I went up to the window on the side of the cabin but no lights were on.
"Hmm?"
I say out loud.
"I wonder if anyone's home?"
I walked to the door and barely nocked. Then I nocked again... and again, and again, and again. Seeing as there was nobody home, I tried the doorknob and to my surprise, it was open.
I open the door the rest of the way and walk in, but carefully. There is a candle in the corner of the room that had not been there before. But from the looks of the place, it seemed like nobody had been home for years.
"Hello?"
I ask. No response.
"Anyone home?"
This time, the door slammed shut behind me and the candle went out.

Then silence.

"BOOM"
All the windows burst and scattered all over the floor. My heart beated so fast that I thought it would explode. I screamed out for help, but no one could hear me. The glass then flew up in the air and started to circle me as the screams started again. They didn't stop.

Then suddenly..... Everything stopped. The glass had froze in mid air. And in that split second... Everything came crashing down around me. I screamed yet again but within seconds everything went black....
