Chapter 3- A double evolution! Taloneflame and Greninja!

Dear Diary,

We saw a gate in the distance, and then we knew that it's the Snowbelle City gate! Ash ran ahead, and we followed after him. It's good that we're wearing our snow clothes since I heard that today is gonna be colder than normal.

We got to Snowbelle City, and Bonnie immediately jumped into the thick snow. We all laughed, and I decided to throw a snowball at her. She falls back hard, then she threw a lot of snow at me.

Ash got hungry, and we eat. He says that he had to train his Fletchinder. We remained eating, and then we rushed out when Ash screamed. We thought that he was in trouble, but we stoped in our tracks when we saw a bright light in the sky.

Clemont says "Fletchinder is evolving!" Then, Bonnie obviously pointed out "You don't say brother!"

Ash saw his new Talonflame, and he sent out Frogadier. He puts me in charge of Frogadier, and when Ash told Talonflame to use Flame Charge, he didn't use it. We saw Talonflame use Flamethrower instead. Ash says he was ready. We walked over to the gym, and Ash told us to wish him luck.

I said "Of course I will, Ash!" Ash said "Thanks!"

Then he rushed off to the gym. He sees Wulfric and he challenged him. He sent out his Cryogonal, but Ash sent out Frogadier.

Wulfric said "Oh! Frogadier! That's an unusual choice!" Then, Ash said "Unusual is how I like to battle!"

Ash told Frogadier to use Double Team and use Water Pulse before Wulfric even has time to react. Ash then told Frogadier to use Cut, and it faints Cryogonal instantly.

Wulfric says "Good job! You fainted my Cryogonal quickly! But this next one won't be so easy... GO! Abomasnow!!"

Ash looked worried, and I asked him why. He said "No... I remember battling Candice's Abomasnow in Sinnoh." He said it's extremely strong, but that won't stop him. He told Frogadier to use Double Team, but Abomasnow uses Ice Beam on all of them. It's a direct hit on Frogadier, and he looks like he can't continue, we give him moral support, and he starts to glow.

Everyone knew he was evolving, and then... Greninja appeared. Ash told him to use Water Pulse, and he instead used another move. Clemont says that the move is Water Shuriken, and it can shoot multiple times.

Abomasnow used Energy Ball which was super effective, buf Greninja moved so fast that Abomasnow can't even see it. The next thing we see is multiple Greninja with a lot of shurikens made of water. That took out Abomasnow instantly.

Ash and Wulfric switched out and sent out Avalugg, and Ash sent out Talonflame. Ash used Flamethrower, but it didn't do that much damage to Avalugg. He used Curse, and took away some of his HP to put a curse on Talonflame. Every now and then, he gets damaged. Ash got worried, but Ash got an idea to finish Avalugg quickly.

He used Flamethrower, then we all got surprised when he glows and flies into the fire. It turned into a glowing white-orange flame with sparks all around it. Avalugg tried to run, but was he's not fast enough. Talonflame caught him, but he's not down yet.

Talonflame took some recoil, and Clemont said "That move was Brave Bird! It's very strong but the user takes a lot of recoil also!"

Avalugg used Gyro Ball, and it is over for Talonflame. Ash got disappointed, and he sent out Pikachu. Bonnie noticed me staring adoringly, and she smiled at me. I noticed her and I suddenly cheered for Ash. He noticed me and he gave me a thumbs up. He told Pikachu to use Quick Attack but it didn't do that much damage. Then he commads him to use Iron Tail repeatedly and it did a lot of damage. Pikachu used Electro Ball, and since Pikachu is way faster than Avalugg, it does a massive amount of damage.

It's over finally. Avalugg is defeated, and at that point, Ash had one more obstacle in his way, which is the Pokémon League.
