Topaz and Druzy

The Beginning

I opened my eyes to a dark place, and tried to see through the darkness. There was nothing...just...darkness. The floor I was on was hard and cold, sending a chill up my spine." The gem is finished Yellow Diamond, would you like to see her?" I heard someone say.
There was no response, just a door opening, and the bright light that emited from it blinded me." S-She's awake?!" A gem said," She wasn't supposed to wake up...I-I don't know what happened..."
" Silence, Bloodstone." Yellow diamond said," Up on your feet soldier."
I obeyed and realised how short I was compared to her." She's so...small..." Bloodstone said, looking at me closely," Sigh, yet another defect...I bet she can't even summon her weapon. I'll dispose of her."
" Wait. Young Druzy, summon your weapon." Yellow said.
I looked for my gem and saw that it was on my hand. I flicked my wrist upwards and it shone and a sword emerged from it. Catching it, I got into a battle stance." One good Druzy is better than the thousands of attempts that ended in failures. We're keeping her." She said.
" B-But she's-" Bloodstone began.
" Defective? Yes. But let me ask you this... We have waited hundreds of years for a Druzy that could at least summon their weapon, have we not?"
"Y-Yes ma'am..."
" Then why try getting a perfect one if we have one that's good enough to summon the weapon?"
" I understand...I-I appologize."
" Druzy, follow us."
I didn't argue, and they lead me to a neighboring room. It was brighter, in fact, it had purple lights! It looked pretty...then I saw all of the gem incubators...Amethyst, Tourmaline, Idocrase, Chalcedony...then I saw the most beautiful sounding name...Topaz. I looked inside of it, and there was a gem my size curled up in a ball in the back of the room." This is the only other one that's showing life signs so far. Well, in this room anyways." Bloodstone informed as she slid her card through the ID check.
After it recognized her as a employee, it unlocked. We walked in and she looked scared." Hmm...Topaz are supposed to be intimidating gems...ones that inspire fear, not sucum to it. She's Defective as well." Yellow Diamond said.
" Um...can't we see if she can summon her weapon too?" I asked nervously," O-Or see if she can do other things?"
I saw Yellow Diamond think about my suggestion." Fine." She said," Summon your weapon."
She did so and her's was a sword too!" Alright, you're not entirely defective...If you don't inspire fear, you're probably a techie." Yellow said," Follow us."
" Thank you." She said to me.
" You're welcome!" I replied," I'm Druzy!"
" Topaz."
"I know! That's a very pretty name!"
" T-Thank you..."
We all walked together and entered an orange room. The names I seen this time seemed pretty cool! Citrine, Sunstone, Beryl, Amber, then Jasper. The coolest sounding was in fact Jasper. And she was cool too! She was much taller than Topaz and I, but as intemidating and scary as she seemed, she was pretty nice!" Hello. I'm Jasper, what are your names?" She introduced, kindly getting down to our levels.
" I'm Druzy, and this is Topaz!" I exclaimed.
" Wow...your gem's your nose!" Topaz shouted.
" It is? Huh...neat!" She said.
We all giggled a little bit before we had to get going. The next room we went to was a long ways away, well, it felt like it. There were gems bustling about and talking and just enjoying themselves. It looked like fun, they they were at full attention when Yellow Diamond enterend the room. The cleared a path, and I heard murmuring," Yellow Diamond let a defect live?"
" Since when were defects allowed into the main building?"
" I bet they're only being kept for target practice..."
I started growing nervous...
'Am I going to be target practice?' I thought.
" Listen, don't let them get to you, you'll be fine. If Yellow Diamond allows a defect to live, then you're more than worthy to live without being target practice!" Bloodstone reasured.
I smiled widely as she lead us through the halls." This place is amazing..." I said.
