Carolines P.O.V
Blaring music, flashing lights, I hated it all. Clubs weren't my thing, I'd rather be locked in a room in silence for the rest of my life. Why did I even bother coming to this lame ass party? I didn't even know anyone here, maybe I should just go home. I stood up from my seat at the bar and started walking outside."Ma'am, you left your phone!" I heard a deep male voice behind me, a hand rested on my shoulder.
"Thanks, I would have forgotten it otherwise." I smiled, turned around, and took it from his hand.
The man had multiple tattoos including a 3 on his neck and an H and a U on his arms.
"Why are you leaving so early? The party's just starting!" He didn't seem drunk like the rest of the people here.
"I don't exactly know anyone here though." I sighed rolling my eyes.
"Why don't you get to know me then?" He smirked holding out his hand.
"I don't know..."
"Please? C'mon." He was grinning.
I couldn't resist, I grabbed his hand and let him lead me to a small table in the corner. The music was quieter here.
"I never got your name." He sat down after me.
"Caroline" I glanced into the club, realizing more people had joined in all the moshing to some shitty pop song.
"I'm George, you can call me Johnny."
How do you get Johnny from George?
He still continued smiling the same damn smile, I couldn't help but beam back.
"You're really beautiful in this lighting." His eyes locked with mine.
I felt my face grow warm. I never thought of myself as "beautiful" I was normally called too simplistic, and boring...
"I-I'm not." I stuttered looking away. It was the only way I knew how to respond.
"Dont say that!" He reached over and rested his hand on mine. A shiver went through my spine.
"Let's just change the subject."
Johnnys P.O.V
She wasnt just pretty, she was stunning. The bright lights of the club illuminated her pale skin. it was like fireworks spreading across the night sky. I'm glad she almost forgot her phone or else I never would have met her.
"I-I think I should get going." She stood up.
"I Can give you a ride." I offered.
"My apartment is within walking distance, I'll be fine."
This was L.A. not exactly the safest city in the world, she was not going home by herself.
"Then I'll walk with you." I stood firmly at her side, she shifted nervously.
"I guess." She gave in.
It was nice to finally step outside into the cool night air, instead of in that loud cramped club. My hand slowly drifted into hers as we walked. She was tense For a moment but loosened up quickly. Was this too soon? We just met... Maybe she doesn't feel the same. We've known each other for less than an hour and I already have feelings For her. Dammit. I had gotten so lost in thought I hadn't realized we were standing outside of her apartment.
"I guess this is goodbye." She stood awkwardly.
"Can I uh, get your number?" As soon as I said that she had her phone in her hand.
"623-877-4386."
