"watching a peaceful death of a human reminds us of a falling star; one of a million lights in a vast sky that flares up for a brief moment only to disappear into the endless night forever." ~Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
all just in a moment, they were gone. all of them; mom, dad, unborn baby sister Hadley, were killed.murdered.gone.

"braelynn!" my mom shouted to my 5 year old self, "come in for dinner."
"I'm coming mama."
"so brae are you excited for your first day?"
"I can't wait daddy!"
"that's great brae-" and then they came. I didn't know who they were, all I knew was that they were bad men. the men came in with their guns, and shot my mother first. after that my dad, and I sat there paralyzed with fear. they pointed the gun at my head, but didn't shoot. but did tell me I was next, and then left me there. a 5 year old orphan with no one left for comfort.I was passed onto an orphanage. at the age of 5 I lost all my family. at the age of 6 I was adopted, and then back into adoption because I wouldn't talk. at the age of 8 I was adopted twice and ran away both times, then put back into adoption. at the age of 9 I was moved to a different adoption agency. I was adopted again at the age of 10, and ran away. ask me why I run? well if you don't have a real family, what's the point of a fake one. and then things went slow because no one wants a problem child.
finally at the age of 14 I was adopted but didn't run away, not yet. I found someone who could erase me completely and give me a new me. i was no longer braelynn grace bellerose, i was hadley elisabeth annesley. then I ran. I took everything I needed and then took bus to bus until I reached New York. ask why I choose New York, well it was a big city and I could easily be there unnoticed.
