I dropped Luke off at a friend's house and started heading toward Jack's house. The road to his house was bumby and surrounded by trees. It was gonna storm later today. Well, at least that is what the News reported. I pulled into Jack's driveway and parked the car. I hopped out and went up to the front door. I knocked and while I was waiting, I paced a bit. Jack opened the door. "Welcome to my humble abode," he greeted me. I rolled my eyes and walked in. "So, why did you call me here?" I asked, hopping onto his couch. "Well, I wanted to ask you a favor. I will be heading down to Utah for the next month and I wanted to know if you could stay and watch my home," He said, "Lilith agreed to help you out if you agree and want the help, and Luke can stay as well." For the next minute, I thought about it. It would be an opportunity to get away from my Dad, and Luke could stay as well. I nodded, "Sure. Why not?" He did a little clap. "Thank you." He said. I shrugged.
I had just picked Luke up from his friend's house and I told him what Jack told me. Luke agreed, seeing as it gives him a chance to be somewhere new and interesting. Jack wanted me back over later tonight, so I had to start packing soon. Pulling up into our driveway, I thought about what I was gonna tell dad.
We walked into the doorway and I nodded towards Dad. "Hey, my friend is wanting me to watch his house while he is away and he agreed to let Luke stay," I stated. He just waved his hand. He probably didn't even care. I walked up to my room and started to pack up. Then, I went to Luke's room and helped him.
