Chapter 8

Suddenly, someone called out on the other side of the front door. "Pizza delivery!" I quickly pulled away from Louis and stood up to meet up the delivery guy. I twisted the knob and swung the door open. "Good evening!" he greeted me. I nodded at him. "Pepperoni and cheese?" I asked him when suddenly I felt like there was somebody behind me. I turned around and to my great surprise, Louis was there. "How much?" he interfered. "5.45 pounds." the delivery boy told Louis. He quickly pulled out his wallet and gave the money. "Keep the change." then he took the pizza box, pulled me by the arm and slowly shuts the door. "Thank you." he quietly told the boy before he completely closed it. "Uh. Why did you pay for that?" I asked him, confused. "My treat." he smiled, widely as much as he can and went to the coffee table by the sofa. He placed the pizza box on the table and seated on the couch. "C'mon, let's dig in. I might finish all of this without even sharing." he joked with a little chuckle. I dropped my jaws and quickly ran and dived to the couch. "Well, that was effective! Hahaha!" he laughed. "But seriously I can eat all of this without sharing." he added and laughed even more. I just rolled my eyes and fixed myself to an indian seat position. He lifted the top of the box and the aroma filled the whole room. It smelled so good. I immediately took a slice and shoved it in my mouth. I munched a little then swallowed it all at once like I was a hungry bear that hasn't eaten for days. After I finished it, I took another one; and then another one. I looked at Louis who was staring at me. "What?" I asked him with a mouthful of pizza. "You eat like a pig! Hahaha!" he laughed. I just rolled my eyes and ignored him. "Do you really eat like that?" he suddenly asked me. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Why?" I asked him in return. "Well, you ain't like those typical girls that eats ladylike and so naive." that hitted me; he was expecting a gentle, impressive, well-mannered lady from me, but he was stand corrected. "Well, sorry if I made your hopes too high." I exclaimed but he didn't uttered a word. I went back to my food. "I like you for that." he finally spoked. I looked at him, confusion written all over my face and a little annoyed. "Atleast I'll meet a unique person like you for once in my life." he continued with a chuckle. I didn't know what to say. "Hahaha! I really like to be your friend. I think you're fun hanging out with." he cheekily said. I thought that was heading to something.

Then I heard the front door opened, and saw it was Michelle, back from the grocery store. She looked at me steadily then drifted to Louis. She went her look back to me then winked. I dropped my jaws open. Was she really thinking that there's something going on with me and Louis? "Hey Lou." she called out to him. Louis quickly stood up and immediately went to help Michelle. "Hello to you too." he greeted her with a smile as he took the bags from her. "Thanks." she replied. He went to the kitchen and placed the bags on the counter. I saw that Michelle was following him behind. Louis got out of the kitchen and went back into the living room. "Hey, Liam texted me, there's a meeting an hour later so I'll be heading back." Louis exclaimed. "Oh, okay." I said to him with a smile. "See you later." he said. I nodded at him and he said goodbye to Michelle. Before he closes the door, I shouted at him, "Thank you!" I heard him chuckled then completely closed the door.

"So, what happened here?" Michelle suddenly popped up. "Not much." I said sheepishly. "You're not telling everything." she said with an uncontented voice. "Promise, just like normal friends hanging out, eating pizza and telling each other stories about their personal lives." I exclaimed. "Hm, okay." she murmured then I saw her grinned. I sighed knowing atleast she believed me a little.
