"I just want to sleep," Margot complained as she rested her head on the couch. It's not like it had been a tough day or anything, she just didn't get much sleep that night. She always had trouble falling asleep, and it was worse when she had so much on her mind.
"Well maybe you should have thought about that before you socked Draco," Blaise snickered, he was sitting on the couch across from her skimming over the Daily Prophet. "Shouldn't you get going? If you're late you'll just get another detention," He warned as he glanced up from the paper.
"Yeah I guess," She groaned, pushing herself up off the couch. "See ya in a couple hours," Margot added, walking away and throwing a wave behind her as she made her way out of the common room.
There weren't many students around; most were in their dorms or in the library studying around this time. She walked down the corridors slowly, taking careful steps as she kept her eyes on her feet. Stopping in front of Snape's office she sighed, "I hope he doesn't make us do anything too bad," She mumbled before opening the door.
Margot looked around as she walked in; the office was just as dark and gloomy as it was the last time she was there. Draco was standing off to the side with his arms crossed, a bored look gracing his face. It seemed like he didn't want to be there anymore than she did.
"Miss Warner, it's nice of you to join us." Snape said in his usual monotone as he turned and walked to the back of the class. "You two will be cleaning my storeroom." He stated as he opened the storage door, "No magic." He added with a serious stare, directed more towards Draco as he held out his hand, indicating for them to give up their wands.
Was he even allowed to take them away?
Margot simply nodded, reluctantly handing over her wand as Draco followed suit, eying the cleaning supplies by the room.
"I'll be back in an hour, be careful and if any of my ingredients go missing or break that's a week's detention for both of you." He drawled before walking out of the class room to do whatever Snape does in his free time.
Margot watched Draco as he walked to the small room, "He's joking right? He honestly expects us to clean this by hand in an hour?" He complained as he pointed at the dusty room.
"Okay one; Snape doesn't joke. Two; stop exaggerating Malfoy, it can't be that bad," Margot replied as she walked over to stand next to him. She looked over the room before letting out a deep sigh, "God you're not kidding, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages," She mumbled, closing her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.
Margot took a deep breath as she walked into the room, grabbing a cloth and a vial before wiping the dust off. "Well come on, there's no way in hell I'm doing all of this while you sit on your ass," She said raising her eyebrows at him.
He scowled as he picked up a cloth and started cleaning off the dust. They had worked in silence for a good half hour, making their way to the bottom shelves they settled on the floor where it was easier to get to the potion bottles.
Draco groaned, "Why am I stuck doing this too, you're the one that punched me," He complained as he leaned his head against one of the racks, looking up at the ceiling.
"Oh would you shut up? You're the one that threatened me, not to mention the fact that you deserved it," She replied rolling her eyes and grabbing another potion. Draco looked over at her as he sat silently; just watching her as she carefully wiped off all the dust and put it back.
