"Jade, Stop Moaning. It's not going to be that bad!"
Jade's mother insisted. They were moving in with a family, just her and her mum. Jade wasn't exactly happy about this, because her old school hadn't been great yeah, but it had been decent. And she was also starting to actually like it there. But now her stupid mother had gone and decided that totally out of the blue, they were moving to Hollywood.
The only good thing was that there was a performing school nearby. It was said to be one of the best, and Jade was confident that she would get in. She had been into the performing arts since a young age and since had been in many performances at her school, always being the lead. She was in to dancing, singing, playwriting and acting. And she didn't want to sound silly but she was very good at them all.
"No. It's going to be awful." She replied to her mum who was now applying lipstick on whilst driving. Jade sighed in annoyance.
"I've heard they have a young girl the same age as you, dear." Great. What Jade reallyy wanted was an annoying girl that surely wouldn't leave her alone. Either that, or her black clothes would scare the girl off and she would think Jade was a freak. Just like most people did.
"And she goes to Hollywood Arts," Her mother further promoted knowing it would interest Jade.
And indeed it did. Maybe the girl wouldn't be so bad, maybe if she went to that school she could show Jade around and they could talk about the school. Not that Jade needed showing around and not that she would really really like someone to talk to about her new school that she was going to be going to.
Her mother Smirked at Jade, something that Jade had inherited from her, and stuck out her tounge at Jade.
"You'll like her. I swear." Jade just slumped back in her seat, not believing a word her mother said.

As soon as Jade stepped out of the car, she immediately disliked whoever lived it that house. It was pale pink, with white windows frames and Jade could see pink curtains hanging up from inside. She visibly recoiled and backed up back into the car.
"No mum, I'm not going in there." Her voice portrays pure disgust and her mum glances at Jade worriedly and hardens her face, which Jade also got from her mother.
"Jade your coming with me, whether you like it or not. I'm sure inside will be better..." She finishes weakly, cringing at her daughters face. Jade sighs, knowing she doesn't have a choice and walks in after her mum.
"I hope." Jade finishes, and surveys the inside of the house.
"Jade, your bedrooms upstairs, Cat will be back soon," a lady Jade figures to be Mrs.Valentine says after giving Jade a warm hug and grin, which Jade weakly returns after her mother glares at her warningly.
"Who's Cat Mrs.Valentine?" Jade asks, curious.
"Oh, of course, I haven't explained everything to you yet, have I? Silly me! Call me Rose, dear. No need for funny little formalities here!" 'Rose' Says, smiling foolishly at Jade. " Cat is my daughter, She has a brother called Luke...look out for him...! My husband, Tom, will be home soon to meet you both! Make yourself at home meanwhile! After all you will be living here! "
It seems to Jade as though Rose is a little to bubbly, but she supposes she'll just have to get used to it.
She trudges up to Cat's room, shielding her eyes as she walks in.
So much pink...
"Oh...my...god." Jade gasps as she looks around the room. It is covered in pink, cuddly toys, and posters of little animals. Surely this girl cannot be 15? It looks like the bedroom of a 5 year old! Oh well. Jade sighs, and sets out her bed, and makes herself at home.
By the time she is done, the room looks reasonably less pink.

*After Jade and Cat have met*
In Jade's honest opinion, Cat was weird. But she liked it. Cat had squealed in delight when she had seen Jade, not at all fazed by Jade's dark personality or clothes. In fact she said they made Jade look very pretty, which had surprised Jade.
Cat had told Jade that she didn't think she was weird at all, and in fact, all the other children thought she was weird as well. She then said sorry for not being here when Jade had arrived and when Jade didn't reply straight away she burst into tears, saying that Jade was mad at her and that she thought that she was weird just like everybody else.
Jade had comforted Cat, and had told her that it was okay because people thought she was really weird too.
Cat had warmed up to her since then, and Jade likewise. Soon enough, they were talking about HA and singing. Cat explained that she has 3 other friends that were into things like her and Jade, that she wanted Jade to meet tomorrow. Jade has agreed after much promoting from Cat, purely to get the girl to shut up.
"Jadey-"
"-Don't call me that."
"Pleaseee...."
Cat's puppy dog eyes made Jade agree.
"Okay then."
"Will you be my best friend?" Cat asked Jade. "I've never had one before..."
Jade smiled at the girl and simply nodded.
It looked like she was actually going to like her new life in Hollywood, LA. Certain she would get into her new school, with a new best friend, there was nothing that she didn't have in her life by her standards right now. She was happy.
