~AUTHORS NOTE~
Hi guys! So this is a story that I wrote for school! Enjoy! Next story will have chapters.
Broadway had never had a robbery, until now. Aaron Tveit was starring on Broadway in Next To Normal as Gabriel Goodman. Jeremy Jordan, his good friend, was also on broadway as Jack Kelly in Newsies. The theaters they performed in each matinée and night were quite close to each other, just three blocks down, turn left, and they were at each other's theaters. It was quite nice because their shows were at the same time so afterward they grabbed a bite to eat and they watched the premiere of Aaron's new show Graceland. They usually watched How I Met Your Mother or something on TV. Their guilty pleasure was Dance Moms.
One night they were secretly watching Dance Moms together and Jeremy got a call from his fiancé Ashley saying that Kara Lindsay, Jeremy's co-star in Newsies, and one of Aaron's really good friends had been robbed. They didn't know who did it, and the story was she was walking to her dressing room, was tripped by a person in all black and her money was stolen. Kara didn't receive her paycheck that was sitting on her dressing room table in an envelope with her name on it.
"This is no good," said Aaron.
"I agree, she's too good of a person. Maybe, it was a crazy fansie who did this. It's happened but I always save the paycheck because I am a fast runner." exclaimed Jeremy proudly.
"Wait, she was tripped, is she okay?" worried Aaron.
"Holy crap, you're right. Can you call her? Wait, don't, its Chloe's solo on Dance Moms." Aaron walked over to the widescreen television at his place, turned it off and contacted Kara. She picked up on the second ring.
"Are you okay?" panicked Aaron.
"No, that mysterious person broke my ankle. What a dingus," said Kara.
"Where are you? Jeremy and I will drive over."
"At the hospital. It's a long drive, can you come?"
"Yes. We will be right over."
They drove over and Kara was just settling in a room. Jeremy and Aaron rushed toward her, but were stopped by a nurse with the last name Ripley. Aaron was really confused because his co-star Alice Ripley might be related to this person.
"Hey, are you related to Alice Ripley?" asked Aaron.
"Yes, I actually am. I'm asked that a lot. I am wondering why you are here," Rebecca Ripley said.
"Jeremy, why do you have your phone on? What are you doing?" ranted Aaron.
"I have an idea. We need to walk to Kara's room," explained Jeremy.
So they speed-walked to Kara's hospital room to see what Jeremy had in mind. It turned out, by the way Kara described the culprit, Jeremy developed an idea of who stole the money.
"Aaron, I want you to search the streets for this person," Jeremy said while pulling out a few pictures of some girls with the names Sophia Hammershmidt, Michelle Nevitt, Jillillian Jackakson, and Kalana Im written in black sharpie under each photo.
"Then what are YOU going to do Jeremy? I don't want to do all the work!" complained Aaron.
"I am going to search the crowds of my shows, and Kara, you and Capathia will search backstage. If any of you two see anything suspicious, let Aaron or me know. Got it?" explained Jeremy. He seemed pretty confident in himself. Capathia was someone in the Newsies cast who shared a dressing room with Kara, so it was pretty convenient.
"Okay, so I will tell Capathia this and we will be set." said Kara. They departed without saying anything because they were so focused on finding who stole all this money.
Aaron dove home quickly and tried to focus on sleeping but he couldn't because his mind was all jumbled up. For awhile he had felt these feelings for Tammy, his best friend from New York for two years, but this urge to hold her and sing to her felt amazing. So he walked to her house, which was only two blocks away, and played the song "In Your Eyes" in her driveway. Luckily, she was there and she ran down and hugged him so tight she didn't want to release him. He started to softly sing to himself "I'm Alive," a song he sang in Next To Normal.
After that, Tammy asked him a very serious question.
"I'm so glad you could come and see me. But why this night?"
"Because when we were five, this was the day we met. October 8th 1988."
"This is great. Let's hurry inside."
Jeremy awoke from his sleep and looked at his watch. Sophia Hammerscmidt was his priority because he suspected her the most. She with her long blonde locks walked right into the Starbucks. There is a Starbucks right outside of his apartment. He got out of bed, got dressed into sweatpants, and hurried to the Starbucks.
"Hi Sophia. How's your day?" questioned Jeremy.
"Good. Why are you here?" wondered Sophia.
"To question you about Kara's money that you could've stole."
"You know, I didn't steal it because I was at my house getting ready for horseback riding-"
"There are NO stables here in New York. You are lying to me!"
"No, because my friend lives in New Jersey, and her house is next to a stable, and thats where I ride sometimes,"
"Have I met this friend?"
"No, I met her at-" she hesitated for a second. At that very moment, Aaron and Tammy came into Starbucks holding hands and laughing. Tammy knew about this, being friends with Kara as well as Aaron. Tammy knew what Jeremy was doing and kept quiet. Tammy and Sophia have had a bad history and she was aware of what she had done.
"Hello Sophia, what is going on? Stealing more stuff I assume?" questioned Tammy, who knew very well that Sophia and Michelle Nevitt have stolen money before. Aaron knew exactly what to say.
"If it was you, you would have a very small smile on your face, oh, look at your face right now a small smile," pointed out Aaron.
"I will be right back, I need to-" said Sophia.
"Oh, you aren't going anywhere," said Jeremy. Tammy was already running toward Sophia's wallet. She found a envelope with Kara's name on it, and ran for her life, like there was some sort of fire. Aaron ran after her, he knew where Tammy was going, THE POLICE.
When she got there all of a sudden this one cop told her she was expecting her. They got business like paperwork taken care of. After the last signature, Sophia and Jeremy waltzed in with Sophia's bag. They locked up Sophia without a trial because the Newsies doorman saw Sophia and got bribed with money to not tell anyone, and a cop saw this. It was satisfying to drink champagne at Kara's house and celebrate the fact that Sophia was behind bars. Aaron called Tammy to his car and drove her to her house.
"Get in the house," said Aaron.
"Okay, what's going on?"
"You'll see," Tammy went in the house and she heard the first song she and Aaron danced to as kids, "In Your Eyes" and he was on one knee and said those magical four words,
"Will you marry me?"
"Yes!"
