"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!" My alarm clock screamed. Groaning, I turned over towards my nightstand. The red glow came into focus, showing the numbers 7:50 A.M. I shoved my covers to the side of my bed and slowly crawled out.
School started at 9 A.M., and I needed to drop Kera off early for some reason. The shower was already going when I approached the bathroom, meaning Kera was inside. I banged on the door a couple times with my fist.
"Hurry up, Kera. I need to use the shower!" I yelled over the cry of the water. She shouted a whatever back to me, an eye roll evident in her voice. I sighed, walking back to my room. TSince I knew it would be awhile till she was done, I started to pack my overnight bag for Lizz's tonight. I threw in two nice outfits, two pairs of running shorts, a few t-shirts, underwear, tooth brush and paste, deodorant, and some other needed stuff into the bag.
As I struggled to zip it up, a head popped into my room. There was a towel on Kera's head and one wrapped around her body.
"I'm done, grouchy," she said, making a face. I made one back and jumped up off the floor. "Next time, don't rush me. It's annoying."
"It's even more annoying when people take thirty minute long showers!" I snapped back, slamming the bathroom door.
"It was like ten minutes long!" she cried, the door blocking her comment after. Every single day, I had to deal with that. Kera was a spoiled rotten brat. She got everything she wanted, and sometimes lied to get it. The thing I hated the most though, was that she was drop dead gorgeous. Blonde hair, bright green eyes, and naturally tan skin. She doesn't even wear any makeup. The only dot that has ever been on her face, is her cute mole on her upper cheek.
You might be assuming I'm jealous. Me, jealous? Nah. I look like her identical twin, even the mole is the exact same. That's the thing though, she is practically my image in the mirror. We can't go anywhere without people pointing us out. It gets old.
I turned the faucet back on and pulled my pajamas off. The hot water poured over me as I hummed to the song, I Love It, playing off my iPhone. Moisturizing my scalp, I squinted my eyes to keep the shampoo out of my them. I hurried through the rest of my shower, and I turned the water off. The water trickled slowly then stopped dripping from the shower head.
When I had dried off, I peered at myself in the mirror. My ribs bulged out, making me wince. As a baby, I was a premature. It's always been hard for me to gain weight, but I have been doing pretty well lately. I wrapped the towel back around my body and opened the door. Steam escaped all around me, as I walked to my room.
Once inside, I pulled on white shorts with a baby blue tank top. I brushed my blonde hair and blew it straight. I lightly applied some makeup, perfume, lotion, and deodorant. Grabbing my book bag, I had gotten at Victoria Secrets' section PINK, and my overnight bag, I walked down the hallway.
I knocked on my sisters bedroom door and said, "Kera let's go. If you want to eat breakfast you have to do it fast." I heard Kera slam her drawers shut, and seconds later she opened her bedroom door.
"I'm having an outfit crisis. I need your help, please," she begged. I sighed at Kera who was in a bathrobe and walked into the messy room. Clothes, shoes, and lip gloss bottles were all over the floor. I scrunched up my nose, and carefully stepped around the mess.
"Ugh. Clean up this room would you?" I said. She just glared at me.
"Your outfit is cute. Where do you get all those clothes?" She asked. I shrugged.
"I don't know, my closet. How about those shorts with that shirt?" I said, pointing out clothes on her floor. Kera's face brightened.
"Shoes though?" She questioned, raising her finger to her mouth in a thinking position. I pointed to a pair of gladiator sandals, making her squeal. "Thanks!"
