Avery's POV
I woke up next to Kyky on her bedroom floor, apparently we fell asleep together. Twenty One Pilots was still playing and the sun hadn't come up yet. I turned the music down and stood up. I looked down at the little broken girl sleeping on the rug. I pulled out my special blanket from the hallway closet and looked admiringly at it. It was the only thing I had when there was no one, and it smelled like home and was softer than anything you could imagine. I rubbed it on my cheek and smiled. I turned back to the sleeping Kyky and put it over her.
I checked the clock on Kyky's night stand. 2 am. Great. I grabbed my sweatshirt and tied it around my waist before hopping out the window and onto the roof. The night sky was pitch black, but littered with stars, reminding me that there is hope. Hope that everyone will be happy. I snapped out of my day dreamy mode and put on my warrior game. I jumped off the roof and onto Luna's garden.
"Sorry Luna.." I whispered and laughed. I snuck out of the yard and onto the street. I knew where I was going, and I had to do this, even if I didn't want to. I felt dangerous, my long purple pony tail brushing against my lower back, my black fingernails, my combat boots, my dark eyes. My eyes turn 100% black when my adrenaline pumps, and I think its bad ass. The sidewalk seemed endless while I strode down it.
Once I had reached the familiar red house on the end of the street, I balled my fists. I went up on the side of the house, and retied my sweater around my waist. I scaled the wall up to the second floor window and knocked on it. Nothing happened so I banged on it. Then finally the lamp turned on and the person in the bed looked over at me. He opened the window and let me inside his room.
"Hey Avery... What's up?" The boy said. "Shut your fucking mouth." I said pissed off. I stood up to him, I was about an inch shorter than him but I could still tell he was intimidated. "What?" He said with a sly face. "You sit your ass down and listen." He didn't. I gave him a warning look but he didn't move so I grabbed his arm and slammed him onto the bed. "You listen to me... You broke her. You broke Kyky's heart and you ruined our friendship with Mikaela. You're the biggest piece of shit I've ever even laid eyes on Andor. And you deserve to fucking die, but I'm reserved, you break hearts... I break your face." I just spewed out words, adrenaline coursing through my veins. "Fight me, you won't." He said smirking. This guy is the biggest piece of crap ever. He stepped up to me and put his hand on my arm. Oh hell no. I kicked him in the groin area and as he fell to the ground I stepped on his stomach and restrained his arms. I leaned into his ear and whispered. "You touch me, or even come close to any of us, and I won't hold back."
I hopped out of his window and ran down the street. I got tired for a moment and I was still far from home, so I sat on the curb and caught my breath. The sky was still pitch black. The moon was full and my eyes are still all black. I felt so much emotions, anger, thrill, sadness... So I just got up into the middle of the road and ran, ran for what seemed like years, but was probably only 10 minutes. I just stopped in the middle of the road again. Lost, not in place, just in thought. Just walking in circles of frustration. Then suddenly, out of nowhere... Lights. Lights and horns, and blurred visions, and screams, and screams and blood, and darkness.
you fell asleep in my car, i drove the whole time, but that's okay because i'll just avoid the holes so you sleep fine.
