Chapter 5

"What?! I made that rifle! I've made multiple weapons for Shield," I practically yelled.

"What are you talking about?" Vivian asked still confused.

"Shield, they plan to use the cube to make weapons. Stark and Banner were suspicious so I decided to look for myself," Steve answered then looked at me, "You didn't know what they were planning to do with the rifles?"

"No! I swear I didn't! They always just asked me to make the weapons since I'm technopath. I never actually asked what they were using them for," I said.

"We need to get this to Stark and Banner," he answered.

"I'm coming with you," I said before they both disagreed, "Come on guys, I'm the one who showed you were to get it. Besides my arm is probably almost healed."

"Okay fine, but you're coming right back here," Cap ordered.

I got up ripping the IV from my arm and followed them out the door. We tried to avoid being seen by any agents and quickly made it to the lab where Tony, Bruce and Fury were arguing.

"What is Phase 2?" Tony practically shouted.

"Phase 2 is Shield uses the cube to make weapons," Steve answered slamming the rifle down on the table in front of them, "Sorry your computer was moving a little too slow."

"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract," Fury tried to explain.

"No, you had me make all those weapons," I cut in.

"I'm sorry, Nick," Tony said going over and flipping the screen around to reveal Shield's plan for the weapons.

"What were you lying?" Tony said sarcastically.

"I was wrong director," Steve said, "The world hasn't changed."

Natasha and the man that had taken Loki in the first place walked in.

"Did you know about this?" Banner gestured to the computer looking at Natasha.

"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?" Natasha asked sternly.

"I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed," he spat back.

"Loki's manipulating you," she stated.

"And you've been doing what exactly?" Banner asked angry.

"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you," Natasha said sarcastically.

"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get twitchy," he answered pointing to the computer screen, "I'd like to know why Shield is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction."

"Because of him," Fury answered for her while pointing at the huge long blond haired man.

"Me?" the god asked stunned.

"Last year earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town," Fury said pacing around the room, "We learned that not only are we not alone, but are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned.

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet," the god answered.

"But you're not the only people out there, are you?" Fury asked, "And you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled."

"Like you controlled the cube?" Steve shot back.

"You're work the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war," the god said.
