One late Saturday night, Clare and her best friend, Meeka, were in Clare's room. Meeka was staying the night. It was late, around three-o-clock in the morning. Clare and Meeka were sitting on the roof , after climbing out onto it from Clare's window. They were talking about random things. Boys, shoes, cloths, things that they liked. They were looking around on the street. When suddenly, Clare saw an odd shape on the side of the green house in front of her house.
It looked like a girl. "Look!" Clare said, pointing to the girl. "What's she doing?" Clare scooted closer, trying to get a better look. At that moment it stretched out legs and it climbed onto the roof in front of Clare's house.
"What is that?!" Meeka whispered. It had long skinny legs and thin hair. It was moving in a circular motion holding it's knee's while sitting down.
"Hey!" Meeka yelled out. It didn't move.
"Meeka what are you doing?!" Clare slapped Meeka's mouth shut.
Then we heard it loudly growl, and after a while, it barked. That's right. Barked. Both Clare and Meeka scooted back towards the window. It screamed and screeched as loud as it could. Clare looked back. It then opened it's arms wide, letting wings take there place. Clare and Meeka screamed and crawled inside. They closed the window as fast as the could. They looked out the window again. It was gone. Where did it go? They both wondered. Just then a loud thump on the roof. They looked back at the window. There it stood, it's wrinkly face and yellow sharp teeth staring at them.
They screamed as it opened it's arms and let it's wings fall once again. It made a loud screeching sound and jumped off the roof. Both Clare and Meeka ran down stairs to there brother. Clare told him what happened, but he didn't believe her. When they tried to tell somebody, nobody believed them. They never saw that old evil face again. Never heard the screams or the screeches. Never saw the old torn up wings that had replaced it's arms once they were lifted. Never saw the sharp yellow teeth. Except for in their dreams, haunted by the continuous barks each night. They knew it was real, that it had jumped on the roof and looked them right in the eyes. What was that thing you ask?
Well Clare and Meeka came up with a name for it.
It's name was, Bird-Dog-Woman.
