In the small kingdom of Arendelle, the soon to be Queen, Elsa, was laying on her floor making snow angels. Elsa was not an ordinary princess, but in fact controlled power over ice and snow.
"See, I told you that using your powers could be fun!" Laugh Jack Frost, the spirit of winter, and Elsa's closest friend. She was 17, the same physical age as Jack, but he was actually 317. Elsa was the first and only person that was able to see Jack, because she believed in him.
"I suppose..." She grinned back, "but my powers are still dangerous to others." She frowned, referring to the incident with her younger sister many years before.
"Els, anything can be dangerous if you believe it is. Why do you think there are 'bad' dogs? People believe they are, so they treat them that way! You have an amazing ability, it's time you started embracing them!" He jumped off the bed and flew in to the air laughing. After hours of laughing, snowball fights, and long talks, the day had come to an end. The two of them always hated saying goodbye to one another.
"Just remember Snowflake, don't be afraid of your gift, it's what makes you who you are." He winked. "I will ALWAYS be here when you need me." Jack gave Elsa a quick kiss on the forehead and leapt out the window, into the blackened, night sky.Elsa's P.O.V.
I awoke to a loud clatter and hurried footsteps coming from downstairs. Mother and Father must have returned from their voyage! I quickly hopped out of bed, grabbing my robe and gloves, and rushed down the staircase. I crashed in to Anna in the hall, knocking us both to the floor. We laughed as we got up and ran to get them together. My parents advisor, Glen was hugging Ms. Eleanor, the head maid. She was sobbing as she looked up at Anna and I. Our parents were no where in sight. Glen and I made eye contact and I understood...our parents were gone and they were never coming back. I hurried upstairs to my room, tears rolling down my cheeks as I threw open the window to call for Jack...longing for someone to talk to.
Jack's P.O.V.
After leaving Elsa, I traveled to North America to spread snow and frost. All of the sudden, something caught my attention between two buildings. As I got closer, it disappeared in to the shadows. "Hello?" I called to the darkness.
"At, mate. Long time, no see?" Said the Australian, a gigantic, furry figure emerged from the shadows. The Easter Bunny...we had a rather...difficult past. "Easter Sunday of '48, right?"
"I suppose so...what are you doing here, Bunny?" I asked quizzically. He chuckled.
"Get 'em, boys." He ordered as I was grabbed from behind and thrown into a sack. The next thing I knew I was tossed on to the floor of none other than the North Pole.
"What's going on? Why am I here?" I directed my questions to Bunny, taking notice of the other three figures in the room, Santa, aka North, the Toothfairy, and Sandman. The Guardians, the name the group had given themselves.
"Jack Frost! You have been chosen to be the next guardian!" North boomed.
"What?? Why me? Why did you guys pick me?" I asked curiously. North let out a chuckle.
"Silly Jack! We did not 'choose' you," he motioned to the sky, his hand gesturing to the moon, "he did."
