Chapter 1
One day long ago there was a girl named Monica.Monica had two brothers and three sisters.Monica doesnt get along with any of them.Monica only had one thing she could trust and get along with....her pet dog Shonte.Shonte is a germanshepard dog.Shonte was brave,smart,and Monicas only friend.Monica didnt fit in at home or school.Monica wasnt open to people.She didnt talk to anyone except for Shonte.The only time she ever tlked to anyone was when she was asked to answer a question.The only time she ever talked to Shonte was when she was alone.Monica talked to Shonte about her feelings since she couldnt ever tell anyone else.Shonte was very protective over Monica.Monica loved Shonte with all her heart.Shonte loved Monica the same.
Chapter 2
One day Monica decided to take Shonte for a walk.But,somehow Shonte slipped out of her collar and off the leash.Shonte took off running for the woods.Monica ran after her but,it was too late.Shonte had ran into the woods.Monica was going to run after her into the woods.But,then she rememberd her parents told her to never go into the woods .Then Monica heard a big loud roar and then Shonte yelping.Monica paniced she didnt know what to do.She loved Shonte.Monica didnt want to lose her.So she ran,She ran as fast as she could into the woods even though she was breaking the rules and would be grounded.Monica finally made it into the woods but, Shonte was nowhere to be found.So Monica ran farther calling Shontes name.Then came limping along was Shonte and comeing behind her was a bobcat the size of Shonte!Monica could see the fear in Shontes eyes.Right away Monica knew what was wrong.The bobcat had attacked Shonte and wounded her right paw.
Chapter 3
Shonte couldnt run very well because of that.Monica just stood there and stared at what she couldnt believe.Monica payed no attention the the bobcat.So she didnt see it when the bobcat pounced at her and sunk its razor sharp teeth into her arm.Monica fell to the ground and let ut a painful scream.Shonte turned around and saw what was happening.Shonte grew angry and bursted into actio.Shonte ran and ponced onto the back of the bobcat that was tearing into Monicas arm.Shonte sunk her sharp teeth into the bobcats neck.The bobcat let go of Monica and knocked Shonte of its back and onto the ground.The bobcat ran over to Shonte and scratched her on the softspot of her stomache.The bobcat ran back over to Monica and started clawing her.Then Shonte came back once more and this time she bit the front of the bobcats neck and broke it.The bobcat fell to the ground dead.Monica couldnt believe her eyes.Shonte killed a bobcat!Monica sat up and looked over at Shonte still standing but,not for long.Shontes legs were so weak from the fight they gave out on her and she fell to the ground.
Chapter 4
Monica saw her fall and ran over to her.Monica saw the claw marks to the soft spot of Shontes stomache and knew it was too late to save her.Shonte was slowly dieing and she knew it.Shonte was not sad or happy she was okay because she knew she was going to die from saving her best friends life.Monica started to cry and say ''I love you baby girl and you know that right? i dont want you to leave me your my only friend!' Monica could tell that Shonte was thinking "I love you too and i dont want to leave you either!" by her eyes.Monica began to cry even more.Then Shonte licked her face and let out one last whimper.And that was the last time Monica saw Shontes beautiful dark brown eyes as they slowly closed.The last word Shonte heard Monica say was "I love you" as Shontes eyes closed.Monica knew this was the end.Monica layed her head on Shontes soft furand began to sob.Monica was all alone.She has no more friends.Monica fell asleep on Shontes side.And awoke the next day and burried her in the spot where she died.Monica layed next to Shontes gave for a few more hours and then she knew her parents were worried so she went home.
Chapter 5
When she got home her parents started hugging her and asked her "Where was Shonte?"Monica told them "she was gone" and began to cry once again.Then her dad saw all the cuts and bite marks and said "come on were going to the doctor." The doctor said the wounds were infected very badly but,she would be okay.So the doctor bandaged her up and she was on her way home.When Monica got home she went to her room and looked at the picture of Shonte next to her bed and said "I will never forget you" and smiled.Years and years passes and Monica grew very old and ill so she went to the hosbital.She was hosbitalized and the night she was hosbitalized she had a stroke.She pased away The doctors tried everything to bring her back but, nothing worked.Monica went to heaven.She was reunited with Shonte once again.The End.
