Oryx Has Awoken

Guardians Unite

For the first time in weeks I felt like fighting. We just have taken down Crota, Oryx's son from hell. I almost died on the last hit of Crota. Well here let me just explain to you from where it all began...

-3 weeks earlier-

"Hey are we going to do this or what?!" My friend, lover boy, was yelling over the six of us in our group. I rolled my eyes keeping quiet and my remarks to myself. We were in orbit waiting for me to figure out the directions to Crota's lair. Where we needed to start in fact. "Helllllooooo-"

"Shut up! I'm trying to figure out!" I yelled through the mic and took a deep breath. My temper always got the better of me with my hothead self. I smiled a little, "Thank you." They were silent and I mean silent. "Ok. I have the coordinates... I am assuming that everybody is ready for this?"

"Yeah sure." Lover boy whose been noisy the whole time starts talking again. He sounds irritated at me again which is now a regular acurance for us. I could hear the rolling of his eyes through his tone.

My ghost popped up beside me and nodded towards me beginning to speak, "We are ready to go when you are." He made me smile and I nodded pushing the throttle forward going into warp letting my team follow. "So how is everybody today?" I shut off the mic sitting and waiting in my chair. I shrug to him. "Oh, my apologies... Is the um, rat here?"

"Yes. When is he not? All he wants is loot, not company. So we are doing this with or without him at this point." I keep my eyes ahead looking around... Still in warp. God, this takes forever and a day to get from one place to another.

"My apologies, Thea." I nod.

"No worries, Ghost. Oh I think we are almost there. Show time." I grin, moving weapons to equip them. I wasn't really sure what I needed, so I packed everything. Like usual. I'm always not prepared for these things so I grab... Everything. Then change it on the way. I turn back on my mic as we hit out of warp drive and land some where on the moon. It looks familiar, almost like we have been here before, but we have just several yards away. Jumping out I notice that just in front of us is some floating fortress and a pad a couple miles away from it on the ground in front of us.

"Woooot! Let's go step on it! It's glowing!" Ok his name isn't actually lover boy, it's moron to speak the truth. I roll my eyes grabbing him by his shoulder piece n hold him there. "Aww...." He mumbles. The rest of our crew lands. Izma, Vector, Miles, and Sienna. Sienna comes over slowly, removing my hand from over grown child, Leo. I sigh looking around and head over to the pad signaling them to move closer.

Izma walks with me, closer to the glowing pad, "What is it?"I shake my head a little then start to hear yelling behind us.

"Well if you weren't such a moron you wouldn't have to be treated like a child Leo!" Miles yells, completely furious with him and pushes him hard. "Guys!" Vector interjects a second too late as Leo is now on the pad and a rumbling starts to take place.

I watch as this weird light begins to wrap around forming what looks like a bridge. How can that be? Anyways it's actually really cool to watch as it forms itself going all the way to the floating platform in the middle of the abyss of a hole. "Is this really where we are suppose to be?" My ghost beside me looks at me then at the bridge that has now formed in front of us.

"Yes. This is what the coordinates were... Would you like me to double check?" I nodded and he started scanning the area. I look at Leo is in awe-struck state.

"Sienna!" Leo shouts and looks at me. "She's going to slide into that hole over there..." He points and my eyes follow. She's actually being pushed towards the hole. "Sienna!" Leo runs after her. Oh my gosh here we go. I follow after him trying to get him back. First, Sienna falls through the hole with an ear peircing scream. Then Leo, the idiot, who jumps through afterwards.

"Leo!" I yell, "Sienna?!" I stare at the platform as the rest of the group comes running up behind me.
I look at them and nod a little. "Let's go..." I jump and all I hear is wind as well as the connection between our mics crackling. I was panicked, we were falling forever it seemed so I don't know why I decided to use my glide right then and there but I did and it stopped me from falling so fast. Then something changed we were getting closer and I could see a glow of a light beneath my feet. I tried to jump again, but I couldn't. The ground was coming fast and all I knew was that it was going to hurt really bad.

Then I landed feeling something crack and I think it was part of my armor that kept me from breaking my legs. I was panting, hard trying to retrieve oxygen into my lungs. Looking around I only saw darkness. No Sienna and no Leo. That's when I heard another scream from above me this time it was Izma who landed and flopped on to the ground. "Izma? Are you alright?" I helped her up and she was panting like I was. She nods still in shock from the fall. Then the boys followed one by one.
Miles then Vector landed with an "oof" coming from both of them and we looked around. I pulled out my ghost and saw the pathway leading to burnt out light. "They must've went this way... Let's go." I followed the path running then felt myself slowing down. What the hell? I kept slowing and looked around for the possible reason why.

Darkness. Duh. I answered myself and kept going. They must've ran past the lights and they burned out, but why? I shake my head clearing my thoughts hearing chattering. Like teeth clacking against each other. "Guys! We have company!" I saw a wave of green eyes start rushing towards us. I took my hand cannon out and started popping there heads one by one. The others were shooting behind me. I kept walking finding a clearing in all the thrawl that just hurled at us.

"Great where are these two morons?" Miles asks now beside me as we walk. I shrug, shaking my head trying to answer a question that I already asked myself. Until I kicked a rock into what sounded like hollowness, disrupted my thoughts. I stopped myself then Miles. "Holy shit... That's a big ass hole... Do you think thrawl came out of that?"

"Well they do live here... So I guess they did..." I mutter. What the fuck is going on? I swore if we never listened to that Eris bith-a-lot we wouldn't here right now. I just feel like sleeping right now, but no, I had to do this. Just fucking had to. I keep walking moving around the holes and my team following closely behind so they don't fall either.

We kept following the trails carefully and finally came up to a wide spread out place. Then I saw all the thrawl hovered by the edge of this place. That's when I spotted a big opening on the other side full of bright light. That's our answer. I know it. I started walking over, since I couldn't run still.  "Leo! Sienna!"

"Over here!" Sienna's voice. I looked seeing the two perched on a rock. "Go sit on the pad guys! It forms another bridge!" I nod a little to myself and motion for the rest to follow over to the pad as we start shooting thrawl.

Once on the pad I heard the thumping of an ogre moving about, way out of the way where I could see. "Sienna, ogre!" She switched to her ice breaker and started shooting, hopefully at the ogre. Then I heard the cry of the ogre as it died.

"Dead!" She shouts and starts shooting thrawl along with Leo. Vector turns and I watch, seeing the bridge form.

"Let's go!" I shout and run across the bridge into blinding light suddenly losing the heaviness that was draped over me seconds ago. I look behind me seeing my team and then thrawl following, but slowing then finally I hit just blinding white then I hear a couple noises basically mentioning that I have new inventory. Suddenly, I'm some where else entirely. Almost like a castle. A castle for darkness itself. I start heading down the stairs slowly looking around. Two totems on opposite sides of the pad to build another bridge. Seriously? Another one?

"Well that was a close one." I could hear the grin in his voice which made me want to punch him. "Alright, boss, what's next?" I turn and sure enough he's grinning from ear to ear. Leo started to see my glare cross my face and he lowered his head a little wiping the grin from his face entirely. "Sorry..." Sienna does the same, lowering her head and staying absolutely silent.

I sigh and head farther down the stairs looking around. Behind me, a big door stood with nothing, but a round room as well as a couple doors. I look down the stairs making my way quietly over to the pad. There's no one here. I think looking around some more trying to analyze this place. "Is it clear?!" Izma yells.

"Yeah, come down!" I stare at the pad and what's in front of me. I long trench of dark abyss until the other side, where there's another big door with the symbol for Crota glowing above it. I heard footsteps behind me of my team. "Alright... Two on each totem. Vector, you're with me."
