Leah
"You deceived me for years! Years!"I yelled tears flowing down my face as I tried, unsuccessfully, to wipe them. We always joked about the major differences between us
My curly blonde hair to their brunette strait strands. My tan skin to their pale complexion. And the most unusual, my abnormal violet eyes to their dull brown orbs. But now I know my jokes weren't too far off. We weren't related. I was adopted."I am so... so sorry. I was told I couldn't have a baby. Barren! And on our way home from the doctor office, you were there. Abandoned on the side of the road. And you were so beautiful! With your violet eyes staring up at me with so much knowledge of the world. And then you reached up and grabbed a strand of my hair with your little chubby fingers. And that's when I knew I had to have you''.
''The only thing that identified you was the blanket you were wrapped in. It was embroidered with the name Leah on it. So that's what we named you. Leah! Our sweet, sweet baby Leah!" She exclaimed trying to grab me into a hug, as I stumbled away from her. "Sweetheart. We love you. You are our child! We might not be blood related, but we are family" my... dad said tears forming in his eyes as he stood next to my... mom... adopted mom... mom.
"How could you! You could've told me the truth!" I screamed falling to the ground in agony.
They fell with me scooping me into their arms, as their hands smoothed out the kinks and curls in my hair. "We're so sorry, so so sorry" they both whispered in my ear, while we sat beside the cabinets in the kitchen. It became silent, except for the occasional hiccup from me and my mother... mom...mommy.I'm may be adopted, but this will for forever be my family.Tell me what you think
