CHAPTER 8: NEW FOUND ABILITIES

RECAP:

I opened the door to my bathroom slowly letting out a sigh of relieve when I saw no one and got out. ''Hey Annabel I just wanted...'' You heard that saying never talk too soon, well yeah I spoke too soon, in the middle of my room stood Cole, mouth agape when he saw me coming out of my bathroom with only a towel wrapped around me. Why does this always have to happen? A guy always walk into a room of a girl and finds her in nothing but a towel, urg and this time it happened to me!

''I uhh...'' I was trying to say but nothing wanna come out of my mouth right now.

I stood there with only a towel around my body, Cole still staring at me with he's mouth wide open. "Uh Cole...can you give me a few minutes please?" I asked, he blinked a few times before he registered what he was doing. He swallowed loud, nodded he's head and left the room. Uh, okay? Was that weird how reacted or was it just me imagining things again? I shrugged it off and went on with what I wanted to do, getting dressed in my p.j's

Just then the door went open again revealing Cole. ''Are you dressed yet?'' He asked while he's covers he's eyes. I rolled my eyes at he's stupidity even though I know he can't see me. ''You can uncover your eyes Cole, I'm dressed.'' I said as I laid myself down on the bed. ''I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't know you were...you know uh getting out of the shower.'' He said nervously, aww he's so cute blushing like crazy. I can't help but to smile at that. ''Its okay, like you said you didn't know. So what was it you wanted to say?'' He scratched the back of he's head and cleared he's throat. ''I just wanted to make sure your doing okay, you know if your settling in good and stuff. I know you don't really want to be here and that you miss your place but its not half that bad here.'' Cole said and sat on the edge of the bed.

Was that what he really wanted to say, I get this funny feeling that he wanted to say something else. I mean he looks then so uncomfortable now and clenching hard on he's jaw. Mm okay, he's acting a bit weird now. "Yeah your right, I do miss my home but I had to do what had too you know it'll always be my home and I don't think that it'll ever be replaced, I grew up there. I will get used to living here now though. I might learn to love it here sooner then you think, I have you guys.'' I said and he smiled a soft smile.

He got up from the bed and heads towards the door. ''I'm glad to hear it. Sweet dreams Annabel.'' With that he turned on he's heel and left. I climbed under the covers and drifts off to sleep.

''C'mon sleepy head, its time to learn some more magic. After that we're going out so get up!'' Someone said and took the blankets off of me. Urg...can't they just let me sleep in for once. ''Is it really necessary to take the blankets off?'' I asked grumpily. ''Yes it is 'cos the last time we had to bring in your mom to help wake you up.'' I grumbled and look at the person who just woke me up from a very peaceful sleep. ''Diana it really wasn't necessary but anyway I'm up now.'' I got up from the bed and grabbed some clothes for the day, I don't wanna risk being caught half naked again.

"See you downstairs!" I heard Diana shout. Turning on the tap hoping that the cold water would wake me up and what do you know it did. "Shit that's cold!" I shout out when the first drop of ice cold water fell on me. But I didn't mind it though, I need some distraction from all of this. Being gone from what you know and where you were brought up ain't all that good. I miss my old friends and I didn't even have the time to say goodbye to them. As I remember all the good times I had back home a tear slowly crept down my face and soon the rest all followed. I had to let it all out now 'cos I know I would explode from all these damn emotional crap and I tell u I ain't used to all of this.

I sighed and got out of the shower and towel dried myself. After I got dressed I checked myself in the bathroom mirror. Red puffy eyes, not good at all. I can't let they see that I've been crying. So I grabbed my make-up, I did my face and finished my hair. Looking myself over again I checked that I was good to go no more trace of red puffy eyes, damn I don't wanna seem full of it but I'll make a good make-up artist. I smiled at myself and went downstairs to the kitchen where everyone was already eating their breakfast.

"Wow am I late or something?" I asked no one in particular and took a bowl of cereal. "Nah we're just very early." Tanner said between bites of he's cereal. I made a O shape with my mouth a shrugged digging in to my cereal straight away. Soon I was done and placed my empty bowl in the dishwasher.

"Okay now that everyone is done let's get right to it. Go to your respective areas so that we can get started. We still need to teach you how to handle yourselves in hand to hand combat." My dad said and hurried to our area's.

"Right you know the basics by now so now we going to teach much more difficult spells. Annabel I'm going to be working alone with you so that Cole can be learned what he has too. First off before using any spells, you need to have enough energy and I see you have done that already. Good. I'm going to teach you how to do more advance fire and water magic, if you successful then we going to do try some of the other elements, like controlling the air around you and manipulating nature. But before we get to that I wanted to work alone with you for a reason. Annabel we already told you that you are one of the strongest in your circle.

Your mom was too, that is why I was so attracted to her in the first place but that is a story for another day. You have the strength that goes far beyond anyone, at your age you are truly magnificent. Not only are you able to use or manipulate all of the four elements but there's more what you can do. You see being the daughter of your mother and I, you have inherited not only the elements but something else. Your mother could foretell the future and now so can you but that's besides the point. Annabel, being my daughter you have inherited power that's beyond anyone's control, I've learned how to control it but someone that's your age its going to be difficult. You have dark magic flowing through your veins.

I looked at him as if he grew two heads, dark freaking magic?!
