Once Upon A Time

Chapter 1

"Mommy, can I go and play with Ally?" I ask for the fifth time. "Honey, I told you that we're leaving to go to New York for Daddy's work" She says and smiles, "Five minutes to say goodbye then". I frown at the last word- Goodbye.

I skip to the Johnson's house and knock on the door. "Who is it?" Mrs Johnson says and I say "Skylar!". Although it was muffled I could hear Ally say "Mom, open the door for my bestie". The door is opened and then I'm squeezed so tight that I could hardly breathe "Ally... too... tight" I say. She lets go and apologises, "I'm gonna miss you Sky. Here, take one half of this heart necklace, you have to always wear it and I'll have the other to show that we'll always be best friends" I smile and take it, "Can we play with your doll house?". She smiles and asks "How long do you have?". "Five minutes" I say and then we both scramble up the stairs. The johnsons had a Mansion. So did we but theirs was bigger. They had 3 floors, just like us. But mommy says that when we move to New York, we will have an even bigger house.

"Bye Ally, bye Mr and Mrs Johnson" I say as tears trickle down the side of my face. I go back home and help mom load the tiny boxes into the truck. Goodbye Harvert Town, Hello New York.

~*10 years later*~

"Mom, I'm gonna go to Ems house with Keria and Olivia" I say as I tie my shoe laces. "Okay, but be back before 10" I smile and say bye. Ems house was a few away from ours.  "Hey Em" I say as she opens the door. "Hey Sky". She says, "Keria can't come- she's sick". I sigh and get the popcorn and 2 tubs of ice cream. "Rom com or horror". "Romance" She says and I pick the fault in our stars. "You've watched this movie like 199 times" She says and I shrug, "Shh, it's starting".

I wave goodbye and go back home. "Hey mom". She just sits on the couch. "Mom, are you okay?" She starts crying. "Your... Your dad... Car... Died instantly" She says with mascara running down her face. I catch on. Dad died. He was dead.

A few days later, we had the funeral. "Honey, we're going to move back to Harvert Town." She whispers after the ceremony. I look at her and she nods. "So, we come here for dad and you just want to leave because he died?!?! You made me move here, you don't know how hard high school, making friends or the education has been." She stares at me shocked and I regret it immediately. "I'm sorry mom, I'll move back." I hug her and she whispers "I'm sorry too..."

'Welcome to Harvert Town' I read as we pass the sign. I look around- I don't remember much but it doesn't look like its changed. "Here it is" mom says as she stops the car. This was our old house.

I unpack all of my stuff into my old room. "Alison" I remember, my best friend. "Skylar??" My mom calls from downstairs. I run down. "You will start attending Harvert High next week". I nod and smile. *knock knock*. I open the door to a man and a woman. "Is that you Skylar?" The lady asks shocked. "Um... Yeah" I say. She hugs my and the man waves. "Oh I'm sorry, remember me, Camile Johnson and my husband Frank Johnson?". Hmm... ALISONS PARENTS! "Oh hi" I say and smile at them. "Camile, Frank?" My mom calls from the kitchen, "Oh come in!". I look behind them in hope to see Alison. No luck. My parents talk and talk. I go up to my room and decide my first day of school outfit. Dress? No...

In the end I pick our a sky blue crop top with a darker blue pair of shorts. Along with my purple converse.

~*A week later*~

Mom drops me off at the school. I step out of the car and I can tell the groups of friends already- Jocks, nerds, weirdos, populars. One of the populars stop me, "Well, fresh blood, you're pretty" she had ombré hair and hazel eyes. "Thanks" I say back and carry on walking. "Danielle". I hear a voice call out- a red head. "Who is that?" She hisses. Danielle says "The new girl". Red head looks at me and then whispers something to Danielle. She nods and makes her way to another girl. She was flirting with a jock. The new girl with dirty blonde hair in curls and the perfect tan came up to me and said, "Hi, I'm Alison, Alison Johnson.". So this was my long lost best friend?
