"Hello. My names Samantha Greene. I bought this tiny notebook at the school store for 1.75, which was my lunch money but I just took some fries off my friends plate when she wasn't looking. I feel like writing in this cause- actually I don't know why. Anyway I'm listening to music right now and wearing my comfy pajamas.
If you're wondering what I look like, I'm blonde and have brown eyes and my eyebrows are bomb af. I live in Nebraska and have a totally normal life. Let me guess, you think I'm gonna say "except for one thing" then go on this whole sob story about how rough my life is and talk about the hurt I've been through. Nope. My life is average and I have nothing really to tell. I have a brother who's a year older then me and two regular parents with regular jobs. Nothing unusual. So yeah how about that notebook! Bet you weren't expecting- GTG GETTING TACO BELL."I slam the book closed and rush out the door. Oh hey I'm still wearing my pajamas. I shrug and continue running to the car. I love me some tacos.

After eating I come back and plop on my bed. How about some Pandora? I switch on my laptop and click Today's Hits station. I expect to hear Want to Want Me or Fight Song, but it's actually a song I've never heard. The title is Shallow Love by Jack and Jack. I was about to skip it then I heard a boy start singing and keep it on. It's actually really good. I open a new tab and look up their names. Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky. Wow the blondes cute... and familiar. He kinda looks like Jack- FROM SECOND GRADE! I KNOW HIM! My stomach does a flip and I get excited. Then I turn on my stalker mode and go deep searching on this kid. Then I find the best thing a creep like me could find. An address. SHUT UP! THEY LIVE IN NEBRASKA IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD NEXT TO ME!! And the best thing is, my best friend Leslie live across from them. She might know them. I throw on some actual pants and my phone and practically leap out the door.Once I'm 2 houses down from Leslie's house I decide to ask her if I could come over. She says yes of course, which would be awkward if she didn't and I was standing outside. She swings open the door and offers me popcorn before even saying hello.
"You watching a movie les?" I ask, accepting the offer. She shakes her head.
"Nope I was just hungry. And please stop calling me Les, it sounds like you're trying to say lesbian." I snort and reply,
"Yeah that's the funny part. Because you actually are lesbian." She gives me a very sassy eye roll and runs upstairs.
I sit on her bungee chair and look out her window to see a boy playing basketball. Oh yeah! Jack!
"Hey do you know the people you live across from?" I ask. She nods and asks why.
"Well Jack Johnson was in my 2nd grade! And get this. THEY SING!" I exclaim. She raises her eyebrows.
"Really? That's coolio. I never knew that."
"And he's pretty cute right?" I add.
"Eh, not my type." She answers.
"Leslie. No boy is your type." I laugh and she throws popcorn at me. My mind starts to drift and I think about 2nd grade. Now that I remember, Jack and I were partners one time for reading. I think back to our conversation.
"We should have a handshake! We'll do this." He demonstrates a hand shake, a fist bump, then a head bump. Where he came up with this, I have no clue. "Okay." I agree.
"It will be our secret thing." He said. That was the last thing Jack said to me.I snap out of my daze and realize Leslie is gone. She probably is taking a shower. I walk downstairs and open the front door. As I step down the porch steps a huge orange mass appears right infront of my eyes and before I know it I'm on the ground.
