Chapter 15

Dominique:

As Ian picked Ren up and headed off to the tent, Aiden picked his head up from my back and whistled loudly, causing Ren to flip him off. I giggled softly, leaning back between his legs, resting my head on his chest and looking up at him. “That wasn't very nice you know.”

“Well I'd like to think that what she did was even more not nice, so I think it evens out,” he said while smirking and giving me a soft peck on the forehead.

“Even more not nice? How does that work?” I asked him while smirking at his play on words.

“Well, I was not nice to her,” he said while pausing and kissing my left cheek tenderly, “so in return she was not nice to me,” he paused again while giving my right cheek another tender kiss.

“So then that makes her even more not nice?” I asked him, my voice getting higher in inquiry and raising an eyebrow as I turned around to face him.

Aiden just smirked, nodding his head. “Yes, that is exactly right,” he let out a soft chuckle before giving my lips a soft peck.

I laughed lightly as he pulled away, wrapping my arms around his neck. “Hey, hey, hey, that's not fair,” I said while smirking and pressing my lips against his, letting out a small sigh as his arms wrapped around my back.

After a few seconds he pulled away and smirked again, his hair ruffling in the wind. “It is one hundred percent fair,” he whispered as he smirked and looked into my eyes.

Letting out a soft and uncontrollable giggle, I let got of him and turned while looking away and out to the water, my face turning red. “I still disagree.”

“Well then we will have to agree to disagree,” Aiden muttered against my head, his face resting in my hair as he wrapped his arms back around my waist, practically hugging me from behind as we sat in the sand together.

We sat light that for a while, me just staring out at the water as Aiden relaxed against my back. It was calming, probably the first completely calming time that I had had in a while. I felt his light breath dance across my neck, sending goosebumps up and down my body. How was I so lucky to have him? Sure, we may have already been through some hard things together – really hard things actually – but that wasn't his fault. And even with those things that went on, all of the ling and his initial intent for when he met me, he was still an amazing person.

An amazing man. He was the sweetest guy that I have ever met, and coming from me that meant something. I felt like a completely different person with him, I felt like I belonged and that I was truly loved. Just being in his presence made me glow, and when he touched me my body and brain would pretty much go into shock! I felt obsessed.

Just then Aiden slightly adjusted his head, resting it on my shoulder instead and letting out a soft sigh while wrapping his arms tighter around me which made me smile yet again. “You are very comfortable, did you know that?” Aiden muttered in a semi-groggy voice.

Letting out a soft laugh I nodded. “Yeah, I've been told that a few times. But don't you dare fall asleep on me.”

“Aw, babe, why not? You are so comfortable.”

I snorted as I let out a loud laugh. “Hun, that's not what I meant,” I said in the sweetest voice that I would manage.

He sat there for a few seconds before I felt his head shake slightly. “Oops.”

I laughed a bit more before thinking of something. “Aiden, when do you think that they will notice that Ren and I haven't come back?”

Lifting his head up off of my shoulder, he gave me a gentle and loving kiss on the top of my head. “Dee, don't worry. They'll come soon. I promise you that.”
