flashback ~The sound of the door slamming shut startled me. I prayed to god that my drunken father wouldn't come upstairs. Heavy footsteps filled the hallway and my door opened with so much force it put a hole in my wall. The pudgy, red face of my father appeared, and my mother soon followed suit begging him not to hit me again. The bottle my father had in his hand came down and smashed against my head... ~flashback over

As my alarm clock went off I rolled over and groaned. I slapped the OFF button and threw the covers to the other side of my bed. I took a much needed shower and curled my hair. I put on makeup and threw on a t shirt and some light ripped skinny jeans. I pulled my 'sleeping with sirens' hoodie and slipped on my vans.

"Mom, I'm off to school!" I yelled into the hallway.

"Ok sweetheart have a good day, no skipping class!"
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my keys. I pulled into the parking lot and turned the engine off. I stepped out of the door and was instantly bombarded in a hug by my best friend Courtney.

"Court. Can't. Breathe." I gasped patting her back. She panicked and let go. She started to ramble on about her date with the jock of the school but I zoned her out. Don't get me wrong, I love Courtney but this date was two weeks ago and I've heard it enough. We arrived at my locker and I continued to nod my head in agreement to what she was saying. She stopped and we started to walk to our homeroom but when I turned around the "popular" girls were standing in our way.

"Oh look its the mute" the blond spoke, the other two girls giggled. I put my head down and tried to get past them but they pushed me back.

"You're not going anywhere, whore" she spoke again. The brunette grabbed my wrist and I gasped in pain. She had seen my reaction and pulled up my sleeve. She smiled at the site of my freshly cut wrist. She dug her nail into the cuts and reopened them. I tried to pull away but I couldn't. The pain brought tears to my eyes but I didn't let them fall. I heard footsteps coming towards us.

"Let her go" a deep male voice bellowed. She instantly let go of my wrists and they hurried off. I looked up to see Cameron . The group that had started to form scurried off and left, Cameron, Courtney and I alone in the hallway.

"Are you ok?" Cameron asked quickly looking at my bloody wrist. I nodded my head 'yes' and grabbed my books that had fallen.

"I'm going to take Quinn home, Courtney you can go to class."

Courtney was about to protest but didn't.

As we walked to Cameron's car I was thinking of where I needed to go. I needed something that could take my mind of off everything, and I knew exactly what and where it is.
