I've never been fond of people, which makes me even more confused as to why I have the ability to hear and see the dead. Yes, you read correctly I can see and hear the dead. My names Ross Ceader son of Mr. and Mrs. Ceader. I'm eighteen and only have one friend which is my deceased older brother Mark. But my story doesn't start with my brother's death or with the fact im able to see the dead no it begins with the cafe the day I met Angela Simmons.
Angela Simmons was a girl i probably would have never of spoken to if it hadn't been for we had something in common. I remember being in the cafe just a block from my house there was a live local band playing in the corner, I'd just walked in ordered and sat down when I notice a light brown headed girl with highlights standing against the back wall of the cafe. She stood still looking from side to side her hands were shaking, she was frightened and I couldn't help myself from looking around also to see what must have been terrifying her. Thats when my brother took the seat beside me. "That girl, the one on the back wall do you know what's wrong with her?" I asked him quietly so no one would think i was crazy and talking to myself. "The brunette?" He asked back, "Yeah." I muffled under my breath. "Well, it might be the fact that the lady beside her is dead and is begging her to help her find her family." Mark said with a smirk. He knew I wasn't good at telling the living from the dead because quite honestly I didn't want to be able too. "Wait, does she know can she hear or even see her?" And before Mark could even answer the question the girl turned towards me our eyes locked. My breathing stopped I could have sworn I was turning pale when she asked, "You, you can hear them?" Then she left.
