Kiyomi was a small child when she met Ichirou Kazukashi. According to my research, she was just about to become six years old, and Ichirou was eight. They were both next door neighbors in an apartment complex, and after bumping into each other they became great friends. Day after day, week after week, they would meet and play together. It was always a troublesome job for him to keep up with her, but he never opted out of taking care of her when the time came. Ichirou never bothered to complain about it either.
As they slowly grew, their love for each other grew as well. Ichirou showed his affection through his actions, but Kiyomi never picked up any of his advances. Both of them were too shy to confess, and they were also too blind to see their own advances. Slowly, the two became uninterested in each other as love interests, and tried to move on. Though their friends were the only ones that could see the love that existed between them.
