~Turn To You: Chapter 2~
Okay back to reality. I am on my way to school. I used to take the bus, but without Noah there to help me I am screwed. I WILL get killed. So my dad drives me.
My mom is sick. She has a rare lung cancer. The doctor says she has 3 months to live. And that was 1 year ago. And I am proud of her. She is a fighter.
We pulled up to school.
Dad: Bye Eve.
Me: Bye daddy, love you.
Dad: love you too. Have a good day.
Me: *mumbles* yeah, funny.
I took my backpack and walked inside. First stop: Social Studies.
I walked down the hallway. Two hands covered my face.
???: Guess who?
Me: Mmm...
I took Cameron's hands off my face and hugged him.
C: Good morning.
Me: Is it?
C: Yes because I got to see you.
Me: Aww cute. But I have to get to class.
I started to walk away but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back in.
C: Forgetting something?
Me: Nope!
I smiled and kissed him.
Me: See you later.
I walked into the classroom. I noticed someone was in my seat. I stood there, confused.
Teacher: Eve, i'm changing your seat, we have a new student.
I looked at the boy sitting at my desk. He was thin, muscular, and had a big hood. It covered his eyes. He looked suspicious, but thats not my problem. I took the empty seat next to him and sat down. Learning time~
- END OF THE DAY -
I was in the hallway, in my own daze. I bumped into Ashley. One of my bullies. Her books fell to the floor.
A: Watch it twig!
Me: S-sorry Ashley, It was an accident.
A: Well maybe if you were paying attention then you wouldn't have ran into me you ugly skank!
Me: I said... I'm sorry. Get over it.
A: Oh! Sassy! Don't talk to me like that bi--
Me: Oh SHUT UP!
She threw me to the ground and her friends got to me. I covered my face. I heard an unfamiliar voice and the kicking and punching stopped. I looked through my hands to see the new kid. I'm going to call him, hood. Hood was blocking them from hurting me.
Hood: Now stop! You don't need to bully this girl. So what if she is skinny? Why should that matter to you? what do you have against her? She is gorgeous. She is nice. And she is kind.
Who was this kid?
A: You are the new kid how would you know? how do you know she didn't do anything?
a crowd came around us. Hood stood up.
Hood: I can see it in her eyes. They are helpless. And really? thats no excuse. Bullying is NEVER okay. Notice her on the floor. Shes hurt. Your word have POWER. Don't use them in a bad way. Think before you hurt someone. Because that someone could be having problems at home, could be sick, could be poor, could be strong, could be weak. I know exactly how that feels.
A: ... Why are you helping HER?
Hood: I will help anyone who needs it. I will fight. I will NOT be a bystander. You. You are a bully.
A: But i'm not... so..
Hood: OH? Take a look at yourself. Then get back to us.
Hood turned to me and helped me to my feet. We walked away.
A: DONT YOU WALK AWAY FROM ME! WE AREN'T DONE YET!
I lifted my hand, not turning around, and gave her the middle finger. Today, I found hope. I found a new guardian angel. Thanks Noah.
