As we both were finally able to be halfway earnest again I gave the man a closer look. The stranger had very pale, almost flawless skin on a friendly face with greyish-green eyes I could lose myself in.

"Well, my name is Patrick by the way. Thanks again, the girl got slowly but surely kind of annoying. What do you think about me inviting you on a drink? After all, you were my knight in shining armour.", he put me back to reality. "I'm Hannah. Although I really appreciate your offer and would love to get to know you better, I really have no time right now. I've got a friend over to help me with stuff for university and I can't postpone this a second time. But maybe we could meet up another time?", I asked hopefully, not wanting to let him go that easily.
Honestly, the only thing I wanted to do right now was spending time with this man I'd just gotten to know, but I had to hand in my work tomorrow, so cancelling the meeting with my friend wasn't an option.

But before I was able to suggest some other day, the man in front of me had put out his phone and opened a new contact.

"Then at least give me your number so I can contact you to make up a date that suits you. Cause otherwise I'd feel really bad after you basically saved my life", he said and handed me his phone with a shy smile. I did not hesitate to take it and quickly typed in my number before saving the contact and handing the phone back to Patrick. This action of mine surprised me, too.

What was going on today? First you run up to a complete stranger and help him getting rid of a bitch and now you give him your phone number without knowing the man at all? For all you know he could be a serial killer!

But my first impression told me otherwise. Hell, the man was even too polite to tell this Barbie that he was not interested. And normally I could rely on my horse sense, so I decided not to worry about it and said goodbye, because I didn't want to be even more late than I already was.

On my way home I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice at all that I was walking on the bikeway until loud ringing brought me back to reality. I just managed to jump aside before I would have been run over by a biker coming my way pretty fast.

"Pay attention to where you go, kiddo! Maybe some glasses would help", shouted the heavily tattoed curly head, even though he didn't seem much taller and older than me.

"And maybe you shouldn't go this fast when there are also pedestrians on their way, you... you tramp stamp!", was all I could stutter out in that moment, and as soon as I realized what I had actually said I wanted nothing more than instantly disappear.

It seemed that also the biker had heard the embarrassing insult, because now he was standing beside his bike and holding his belly of laughing.
But I didn't waste anymore time on him and tried to escape as quickly as I could from the scene to not embarrass myself even more.

The pun with the tramp stamp doesn't really work in english, so sorry for that. But I hope you like the rest of the story so far :)
