There once was a little boy
Who held many balloons
Twelve to be exact
They filled him up with joy

He had many colours galore
He never could ask for more
He had two greens, two reds, two blues
He had two purples, a yellow, and an orange one too

Oh but something had happened
When a dark red had popped
How sad it was
But it was bound to happen

Then, the orange, green, and the dark blue
After, the dark green and the fuschia too.

One by one they all went pop
Some he let go
Some he dropped

After that all he had left
Was his lonely bright red

There one was a little boy
Who held many balloons
Twelve to be exact
But now there's only one
