Finding Hope Somewhere

Chapter 18

"Abigail" I said aloud

Jasper and Abigail both looked at me. I was in total shock that Abigail was there comforting him.

"Laura, can I help you?" Abigail said

"I'm here to see Jasper"

I walked over to the other side of Jasper so I wasn't next to Abigail. I grabbed Jaspers hand and held it tightly.

"Tell me what happened."

"He got in a car accident"

"I know that Abigail"

"Well, I was turning on my way to school and someone rammed right into me. They didn't stop after they hit me they just kept on driving"

"Jasper, that is terrible I'm so sorry"

I felt really uncomfortable with Abigail standing right there.

"Jasper I just want to let you know that I'm sorry for everything I have done, and that I got charged and I am going to jail" Abigail said.

"I'm sorry Abigail" Jasper said

"I am too but its only for 2 years"

"Oh"

I was starring at Abigail because I knew that she wasn't sorry for anything. She put my life through hell. I didn't do anything to deserve the hate she gave me for a year. Abigail was a bully who wanted everyone to think she is perfect. But she isn't.

"Okay Abigail you can leave now" I said.

"I have to anyways, I hope you feel better Jasper. And for you Laura, I hope you have a great rest of the school year" she said sarcastically.

She then walked out the door. I hated Abigail Klein with my whole heart. I hope her life is hell in jail, because I want her to know how it felt. I hope she learns her lesson not to mess with people.

"Laura, thanks for coming"

"Anything for you Jasper"

"Laura, I don't have to get surgery, I just have to get stiches"

"I'm glad" I said hugging Jasper and giving him a kiss on the cheek"

"Laura I have to get some rest now"

"Alright Jasper, I love you"

"Love you too"

I kissed Jasper on the forehead and walked out of his room. I walked down the hospital halls and I got all these flashbacks all of sudden. They were with Jack and Abigail. I almost started to cry because of the horrific months of pain. I was in so much pain for those past months.

A few minutes later I got back to school and headed to my next class, which was Literature.

"Laura, why are you late" Mr. Burns said.

"I went to go visit Jasper"

"Oh okay"

I took out my books and turned to the book we were reading, which is "To Kill a Mockingbird" As I was opening my book to the page someone threw something at my head. It was a paper ball so I picked it up and read what was inside of it and it read "Emo" I just ignored it and continued to flip my pages.

I wasn't going to let them bother me anymore. I'm done with it.
