ch. 1: meeting

katys p.o.v.

i pushed open the black heavy double doors to get into the big arena. i jogged down the halls, i heard my riding boots clacking. i was late.

this is my first day of work, like are you kidding? am i stupid?

"katy?" someone called.

i started to run.

"hey! hey! over here." i called.

a white blonde lady whipped her hair around. she was wearing a big black tee shirt and light wash shorts turned around.

she had a baby in one hand and a clip board in the other.

"Hello love! im lou teasdale! your boss." she called and gave me a bit of a half hug.

she looked at me, up and down and smiled approvingly.

i was wearing brown riding boots with skinny jeans tucked in. i wore a light pink lace tanktop and a creme knitted cardigan.

"follow me." she turned around dramatically and walked into a group of people

i followed here. there were tons of people with ear pieces looking at clothes, screaming at younger people and on iphones or ipads. were we at a fashion show?

she stopped at a room with a golden star on the door. the gold contrasted on the black door and glistened from the light, it read 'boys'.

i scrunched my eyes. lou handed me the baby.

"katy, lux, lux, katy." i smiled and lux laughed.

"well go in, meet them." lou smiled.

"um okay."

with lou in my hand i opened the door slowely. i heard 2 deep voices, both in different convosations and the television was playing soccor.

i opened the door all the way and walked in. One Direction was lounging around.

"hey love!" Harry styles said.

"hi." i said back.

"boys, this is katy, my assistant." lou said before backing out of the room and shutting the door.

"goodluck!" i heard her yell.

the boys sat there staring at me. i stared back.

did i look funny? was my hair messed up? did they thing i was ugly?

i had wavy brown hair and brown eyes. i was skinny but not a stick, i was adverage. i was like everyone else. lux started to cry. the boys sat still.

"shh baby shhh." lux kept crying.

"wheres mommy!" she said.

"mommys busy honey."

"shes american." one of them murmered.

"can one of you help me?"

Harry got up and took lux from my arms. he made a funny face and lux instantly stopped crying.

"uncle Harry!"

Harry smiled.

in the corner of my eye i saw liam, sitting alone on a leather loveseat. he looked upset and stared at his phone , in disbelief.
