AILAINA

The past few weeks have been great. Calum's been getting all his work done along with the project Luke so happily agrees to help with, I've started my art project and already started writing my pre-cal notes, Michael got a raise at the car shop he works at, and Ashton had been building benches for outside the school for grades. I mean, he would've done it either way, but at least he'd be getting something in return. I hadn't been talking to Michael and Ashton as much, however. Calum and I had been drifting from them quite a bit due to the fact that they had both been so involved with Alex and Jack's band which, by the way, had been starting to get gigs around town.

Luke and I had been texting non-stop and we'd go out to eat once in a while or I'd come over to his place. Neither my mom nor Calum know that I had been seeing him though. I know I shouldn't keep secrets from them especially if it being revolved around the guy they both hate the most, but knowing that they already don't like him, I want to make sure I tell them at the right time. Maybe ease it in, you know? Calum's been getting suspicious about my texting. I'd put my phone of silent and turn off vibrate and tell him I'm scrolling social media or that I'm texting my mom or something. Mom's been thinking that I've been visiting the library or Calum's. When she's drop me off to "study" I would just be meeting up with Luke who'd take me out afterwards. No, don't worry, Luke hasn't been affecting my studies nor had been a bad influence on me. He's changed. A lot. Now I just have to hope that Calum and my mom will see that.

"I gotta go now," Calum says as he drags himself off my bed from watching tv with me. "Luke should be on his way soon."

I close the textbook that's laying on my lap. "Can I come?"

Calum raises his eyebrow at me while he puts on his jacket. "Really?"

"Yeah, I have nothing better to do anyway." That was a lie, I just wanted to see Luke.

"What about your homework?"

"Finished it a while ago." Another lie. I'll just finish it when I get home.

Calum fixes his hair in my mirror. "Well okay, just don't distract us!"

"Yay! Don't worry, you won't even know I'm there."
