Deonne’s POV:
“Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!” I groaned as a huge body jumped up and down on my bed shaking me awake.
“Go away Zelo.” He plopped down and continued shaking me.
“Sissy please get up! Get up!” I sighed as I pushed him off the bed.
“Ok, ok, ok! I’m getting up!” I laughed and got out of bed. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth. I came out when I was finished and put on a bra. Zelo grabbed my hand and pulled me into the living room.
“Where is everybody?” As we stepped into the living room, four blonde boys jumped out from behind the couch.
“Happy Birthday!” Yongguk, Youngjae, Jongup, and Daehyun cheered. I blushed and shoved Zelo towards the boys.
“You guys are punks. I told you not to do anything.” I whined.
“Too late~.” Himchan sung as he exited the kitchen holding a platter with a huge cake on it. “Happy birthday hun. I made this very yummy and totally homemade red velvet cake for you. It’s also my birthday present for you, because I spent so much time and money on the cake that I forgot about a present.” Himchan looked sad. I laughed and hugged him after he had sat the cake down on the counter. I pecked his cheek.
“If it is good, I will forgive you. You guys are the best.” I smiled.
“I know!” Jongup laughed turning off the lights. Youngjae lit the candles on my cake and nodded towards the others. They sang the American version of “Happy Birthday” to me and I couldn’t help but laugh at them. When they were finished, I closed my eyes and blew out the candles. Everyone clapped and the lights came on. Zelo ran to me excitedly.
“What did you wish for?”
“I can’t tell you or it won’t come true silly.” Zelo pouted. I just laughed and ruffled his hair, causing him to pout more.
“Yahhh~! Why?” We chuckled at his cuteness.
“Time for presents!” Jongup and Youngjae cheered. I kind of noticed that Dae was being quiet and if this wasn’t normal, I’d be worried.
“But… my cake!” I pouted as Dae dragged me into the living room and away from my red velvet goodness. I sat down on the couch as Zelo jumped in front of me.
“Open mine first!” Zelo cheered holding out a gift to me. I took the gift and opened it nicely trying not to tear the wrapping. I couldn’t help but smile at the cute necklaces he had gotten me and him. One necklace was half a green heart with the word brother on it. The other one was a half red heart with the word sister on it.
“I am guessing the red one is mine?”
“No! That’s mine!” I looked up at him confused.
“But Zelo… it says sister on it.” He just smiled at me.
“I know! But green is your favorite color and red is mine.” I laughed and shrugged slipping on the green necklace. I stood up, hugged him, and pecked his cheek.
“Happy Birthday Deonne.” Yongguk’s deep voice entered my ears as Zelo pulled away from me. I looked over at him and gently took the little box he was holding. I opened it to find a bracelet that had a cross dangling from the chain. I smiled and hugged him.
