"So pretty." Jimmy whispered in a quiet voice.
Keeping my view ahead of me focusing on the setting sun I replied "Yep." And a small smile slowly appeared on my face.
"But you know? Bright and pretty things also have something dark in them that you don't know of." I quoted as I looked down onto the soft sand in front of me.
A silent pause came as I ended my statement.
A quiet giggle was heard. "That's not what I meant Aimee, what I meant was you are pretty." He said interrupting the silence.
"Hah, Jimmy don't flatter me so much or I will be a flat surface in no time. You wouldn't want to be flattened into nothing would you?" I joked as laughed.
A short pause passed by before he answered "Nope, I would not like to be flattened." He said with a giggle.
By the time we finished talking the sun had been set deep deep behind the horizon. Time is slow but passes very quickly. The moon should be starting to rise to the top of the sky, the top of the sky huh? The wind that smelt like sea has blown by few times before I started talking.
"Would you like to walk on the beach again?" I asked.
"Sure." He replied with a smile.
Jimmy quickly got up and patted himself and put out his hand to help me up. I took his hand and beamed. We walked side by side towards the direction of the lighthouse and away from the beach house. The wind felt nice blowing past my face as I walked.
"Aimee, may I have the honour of holding your hand?" Jimmy suddenly said.
"Hm..."
"I'll tell you when we are at the bottom of the lighthouse." I continued.
When we reached the bottom of the lighthouse there was a quiet silence before the either of us began to speak. When Jimmy opened his mouth to speak a gust of strong wind flew by. Jimmy waited for the strong gust of wind to past before he opened his mouth to speak again.
"So? What is your answer?" He desperately asked.
"Why so desperate Jimmy, or should I say Kevin."
