Chapter 1: The Accident

Kate's POV

It was 6:30 am. I woke up early today because me and kyle are going to be meeting at the cherry blossom tree in the center of the park today. It is believed that if a couple is under the cherry blossom tree when it blossoms, they will stay together forever; that's what I've heard though. Even if it is just an old tale I still believe it. Me and Kyle are actually dating for like 4 weeks already. He is actually our school hearthrob and I heard he was a playboy and he dates girls upto 4 weeks then breaks up with them. I didn't believe it though, but my bestfriends keep telling me to break up with him because he will only break my heart, but I told them that he promised I'm the only one he loves and they told me I'll eat my own words. I just smiled at the memories of my overprotective bestfriends and got ready then went down. As I was going out I greeted everyone "goodmorning" and they greeted me back. I decided I'll just walk to the park today. As I was getting closer to the cherry blossom tree, I saw something that made me eat my own words; Kyle and a girl was kissing under the cherry blossom tree. This made my heart break to pieces. Kyle and the girl must have noticed my prescence since the both of them turned to my direction and have shocked faces. I didn't notice I was crying until Kyle went near me and wipe my tears away but I pushed him away and shouted at him "I SHOULDN'T HAVE BELIEVED YOU!!!! YOU-YOU..LIAR!!" while tears were streaming down my face. People were watching but I didn't care because the painful feeling I feel in my chest right now was worse than embarassment. I saw him there standing still and he's face was shock and it turned into a guilt look then he started walking towards me, reaching his hand to me while saying my name "k-kate...." tears were breaming in the corner of his eyes, but before he could get closer to me I muttered "I hate you...." then ran away, my bangs covering my tear stained face. I was only looking down that I didn't notice a car was heading towards me, but as Kyle shouted my name I stopped and looked at my side and saw the car that was heading towards me, but before I could react the car had already hit me and the last thing I heard was Kyle shouting my name then I blacked out.

Kyle's POV

I was here under the cherry blossom tree waiting for Kate until a girl came up to me and confessed her feelings towards me but I only smiled at her and the next thing she did made me shocked; she kissed me. We felt a prescence behind us so we turned around and saw...

I went up to her and wiped the tears falling from her face away but she pushed me away and shouted "I SHOULDN'T HAVE BELIEVED YOU!!!!! YOU-YOU LIAR!!!!!" tears still streaming down her face.
